Sam || Rose
Sam: I can't stop thinking about you.
Sam: and no, I meant to send this to you. Don't worry.
Sam || Rose
Sam: I'm sorry.
Sam: Before you do that thing you do, I do have something to apologize for Rose. I'm sorry that I hurt you.
❝ I don't want to see it coming closer. I can't take another word about her. Send me back to another place. Show me how I can live this way.
Oh, I don't really want to see it, See it take control of me. I don't really want to see it, See it make a fool of me. ❞ @devianttxrts & @foreverinspired

With her feet on the porch, she pushed herself. The old swing was on his its last leg. Sam probably shouldn't even be on it at all, but it had been her favorite place since she was a kid. If she and mother got into an argument, she'd go there. If she fought to stay up late, she'd just swing. She was never the kid that packed their bags and ran away. Sam knew she'd be back so it was pointless. Instead, she'd just sit there and take pictures or watch the lightning bugs. As the rain poured and the thunder angrily rumbled, she relished in it. It was a typical southern summer, sans the usual overbearing humidity. It was just cooling down for which she was thankful. However, her thoughts came to an abrupt stop when a car pulled up. She figured it was one of her mom's friends. Sure, she might have posted that she was back home for a few weeks, but she didn't think anything of it. Not until the brunette stepped out. If this was some romcon, Sam would have run out into the downpour and lunged into her arms. But it wasn't. She did meet her at the steps which was the least she could do. Rose had come all that way and it went without saying it was for her. Sam had always talked about her visiting Georgia. She’d even talked about going to Colorado one day, too. But a lot had changed between them. Lines had been crossed and other people had come into their lives. After reaching out to Rose, this wasn’t what she’d anticipated, but boy was she happy. “I-I... you...” Words? They evaded her. Instead, she wrapped her arms around her. They didn't need to talk-- not then as her lips immediately latched onto Rose's. Every person. Everything-- it was all blocked out, leaving just the two of them.
