"Snuck your way out of the ER again, did you?" she asks with a small smile playing on her lips. While she never minded having extra sets of hands on the Peds floor, she knew that Sam was becoming a bit more frequent up here, obviously enjoying the experiences that he had with the kids. "I just talked to the parents in 2340, and they have requested AMA forms to discharge their kid. So if you want to come get coffee with me before we hand those over, I'm happy to buy," she explains in a sickly sweet voice, despite the clear annoyance. She tried to explain to them why there were more reasons to keep their kid there than there were to take him home, but they were through with whatever she was telling them.

Violet had gotten into pediatrics to be a part of the team that healed and advocated for the kids that came through the hospital doors. When someone tried to mess with that, she wasn't always the happiest of people (despite her best efforts). "Coffee is certainly more of an emergency, don't you think?"

Sam had been looking for Jess for the last few minutes. He didn't know how they'd gotten separated, but they had.

"It's okay. We need to find a way out of here and get back to your place," he sighed, needing to regroup. They hadn't been able to find Dustin.

Marissa had been doing a good job of burying everything down since her interaction with Nicola. Whether that was through excessive drinking, or something a little stronger, she was doing her best to just not think about that, the fact she was back and here to stay, or the fact that all this talk of death and loss brought up old wounds that never did fully heal. She thought she’d been doing a good job, but then she finally saw Sam and everything hit her at once. She ran over to him and wrapped her arms around him. “I love you, Sam,” she breathed out against his shoulder.

she leaned against the kitchen counter of lena’s penthouse, looking across the room at her friend. she let out a soft sigh and shook her head, pushing herself from the counter to walk to the couch. “come on, get up. you’ve been working nonstop. ruby is at a friend’s house tonight. we should go out, have a girls’ night.”

Remus had begun to wonder what had brought him to ball. He felt far too out of his element to enjoy the ball without a drink or two, and his body was also still recuperating from the last full moon, which mean that dancing the night away was also out of the question. So rather than sitting around he decided to roam the hall in search of his friends, and as he did he bumped into a red haired girl. “Lily? Wait no, you are not a doe. Samara?”
