Allison and Lukas | Devil's Arcade
She was just filching an oatmeal chocolate-chip biscuit from the Level One staff room when she heard the page over the intercom system.
Paging Doctor French. Doctor French to Level Three, Room 313.
With the biscuit hanging out of her mouth, she clambered up two flights of stairs to get to the set of double doors into the west hallway.
20 minutes later she found herself back in her office, chewing thoughtfully, and staring clean across her desk from the wrong side. The boy with the thin face had plopped himself down in her chair, taken one spin, and then smirked up at her from under his mop of dark hair.
She really didn't know what to make of him. Level Threes were supposed to be scary on principle, but it's not like she was going to tie him down in her office. And part of her brain, when she looked at him, was shouting that this boy was the one who'd flattened Derrick's face. She had a weird complex about getting attached to her patients.
She hid that thought in the back of her mind.
"So." She started. His smirk widened. "What would you like to talk about, Lukas?"
