Just Something to Say

Recently, with my professional degree finally completed and plenty of free time —which I hope won’t last too long since I want to find a job soon— I’ve reconnected more with series, anime, and manga. Obviously, Sakamoto Days and The Summer Hikaru Died, among others, are at the top of my list. However, the story or webcomic that pulled me back in was Return of the Mount Hua Sect. Out of nowhere, I started thinking about its novel, and I couldn’t help but dive into it again. It’s about martial arts, tons of action, found family, reincarnation, and COMEDY I LOVE. If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend it. Personally, it completely breaks away from the romance trope I had grown so used to —and sometimes bored of.

All this visual art really reminded me of my more active Tumblr days. Even though years have passed and the stories that once connected me to this passion have either ended, changed direction, or are on an indefinite hiatus, I have to say I deeply miss one theme: ANGELS AND DEMONS!

Yes, it’s a typical church cliché, but I love it. I miss stories with that theme so much… it’s a classic that always plays with the question of which side is truly in the right. Ugh.

Personally, I think the stories that fueled my hyperfixation were: The Devil's Soul, Good Omens, The Good Place, Casino Cups… and the list goes on.

So please, someone bring to this universe a story about angels and demons that’s just as captivating as all of these!
