Based on the song by Post Malone and Swae Lee, 'Sunflower' (Such a fantastic musical piece). ‘Evil Huey! AU’ by @devil-delta <3
Ok, here we go again with this! I regret that it took me so long to republish it, I realized that I had lost the English version and I had to do it again, so while I was doing it I modified some things to make the writing better.
Warning: It is alluded to and/or represents a toxic relationship, in addition to a slight allusion to sexuality and physical abuse. That's why the characters are coming of age here (also because of this I won’t include the series’s hashtag). It is under your free choice to read or not this one-shot. Discretion is advised.
“Needless to say, I keep her in check. She was all bad-bad, nevertheless”
Webby opened her eyes in surprise when Huey passed her side, circling her gently and bringing his hand to her to stroke her cheek. He rotated around her slowly, appreciating her from every angle. With his eyes fixed on her. Delighting at the surprise and shock that were etched in her eyes, she was clearly exorbitant and out of focus because of his sudden and excessive approach. He invaded her personal space, intimidating her. But that didn't stop her in all her strength from directing a direct look of bewilderment and annoyance, separating from Huey's slow and extremely tortuous caresses. Her own feathers reacted to his soft touch, and she didn't like it. Even so, and even though she wanted to, she didn't manifest any insult or attack against him, who in front of her now looked at her smiling with a damn satisfaction in a way too deep and fixed which caused her a spasm, that ran through her back.
Huey looked at her in such an insinuating way, as if he could dig deep inside her to her interiors, discovering her completely, exposing her.
She hesitated. He curled his smile more.
Webby's mind couldn't be more confused, it was all a mess. Vulnerable. All the pain that she had felt inside with every hurtful word he had said to her since all this started, occupied a space in her recent memory as she confronted what she was living now. While confronted with Huey's possessive gaze on her. Why was he telling her these things? With what right did he dare to tell her all that? Why was he seeing her like that? From the beginning until that morning the only thing that both had given themselves with fervour, the only thing they gave themselves in body and soul was deep anger accompanied by hurtful comments from him for her. Which didn't need to mention how much damage they had produced inside her expanding like a virus through her body. Huey advanced as determinedly, smiling to her who remained firm in her place, tense. Out of nowhere, he grabbed her chin brusquely to force her to look him in the eyes. Those eyes inverted, Webby couldn't see anything in those dull eyes. No compassion, no kindness, no Huey.
“Callin' it quits now, baby, I'm a wreck. Crash at my place, baby, you're a wreck”
She sighed with difficulty, trying to take as much air as possible to her lungs, trying not to see who was in front of her exposing and undressing her with his gaze. As much as he was courting and caressing her now, Webby didn't want to forget how much he had hurt his family with his actions and words, or how much he had hurt her. All under the justification and excuse that those hurtful feelings he expressed were real manifestations of what he really felt for his family. What he had always felt. Webby ran out of air and put her legs together, it sounded ridiculous but... Was his flirting with her a manifestation of what he was really feeling?
He smiled wickedly. Webby's breath shuddered and she put her hands on his chest, putting some pressure to keep him away from her. A burning began to manifest itself in her stomach at the doubt she was feeling. Huey then brought his beak to hers, never removing the disdain from his eyes or the malice of his smile. Savouring her sweet and trembling breath. "You wish he would come back... don't you?" he said in a deep and low tone, muttering so close to her that Webby's feathers stood on end. She frowned and bit her tongue, beginning to sink her fingers into his chest, wrinkling his clothes as she took it with increasing strength, Huey's smile widened. "He's not coming back, Webby. That Huey... you're never going to see him again" he added, enjoying how the anger was with her body, and gladly, he pressed the finger in the sore, murmuring in a combined breath to his. "He doesn't exist anymore ..."
"SHUT UP!" Webby yelled suddenly, annoyed. Pushing him roughly so that he would back off a couple of steps, almost losing his balance while a new crystalline whole tinted his eyes. A strong and desperate pain in Webby's throat forced her to see him again, he held her spiteful gaze but he was glad to see her hesitate for a moment. See her breaking. "S-shut up..." Webby muttered again.
“Thinkin' in a bad way, losin' your grip. Screamin' at my face, baby, don't trip”
"Don’t you dare to say that he’s no longer there" to his surprise she continued, rising with admirable anger and determination. She was facing him screaming. Huey was pleased with this. Wet roads descended Webby's cheeks from her beautiful eyes. She hadn't had it easy. Thanks to him the only family she had met was fragmenting, thanks to him she had moved away from them because she didn't feel part of them. Thanks to him now her stomach and legs were stirring confusedly. How much more damage could Huey cause her ? how much more he was going to make her feel like this...? She didn't know it but she hoped that the Huey she knew and liked would still come back, she hoped that a part of him was still there. "You can change again ..." he pronounced trying to sound convincing to him, but for the tone of her words, she was trying to convince herself too.
"I can't..." he answered walking up to her, taking her by the elbows and pressing them so she wouldn't flex them, taking advantage of her low guard. Webby looked desperate and disillusioned by this, which is why she was surprised by the sudden touch of their beaks. "Webby, I want you to change me" he whispered, she reacted surprised but couldn't move. A strong feeling of discomfort shot up in her stomach as she was so close to him "... I want you"
Her eyes searched his eyes until they met and Webby looked down hurriedly. Her breathing was shaking as he slid his hands down her arms to her wrists. All in a smooth way. The real Huey used to have that gentle gesture... Her stomach knot became a lump in her throat.
“Someone took a big L, don't know how that felt. Lookin' at you sideways, party on tilt”
"H-huey," Webby sobbed, feeling the initial anger and sadness that she felt drain from her. Now a strong uncertainty and doubt were made with her body. Was he being honest with her...? Even though he had told her horrible things, he was treating her differently now. He had told her things that she had never expected to be told, and less coming from him. He wanted her to make him change! He wanted her! ... Webby would be a fool if she let that go.
Suddenly Huey pulled her out of her trance by releasing her surprisingly, scaring her as she felt the cold on her skin from his absence. Still Webby kept her eyes down, ignoring the big smile plastered on him. Huey couldn't feel more satisfaction and pleasure as he watched his plan work. She was confused. Her emotions were out of place and that was affecting her way of playing.
"Why...?" She asked, looking completely innocent and helpless about this. Her eyes fixed on the ground kept the shine of the tears that were accumulating and were lubricating her eyes threatening to descend. Even so, she maintained her beauty, he wasn't going to deny it. "W-why are you doing this?" she was interrupted, not by a blow or by a scream as on other occasions, not this time. Webby's body tensed when she felt the closeness of Huey's, who joined their mouths in a brusque and short kiss. Hugging her also towards him, placing his hands on her back leaving her to leave her hands hanging at her sides. Webby's eyes widened as she let the tears fall as they parted their kiss and he began to murmur things in her ear.
Her stomach was a mess, her head was a mess. Webby blushed when he pressed her harder and kissed her neck. She decided to hug him too.
“Some things you just can't refuse”
"You're a wreck ..." Huey muttered almost inaudibly, letting her take him hard and curl her head into the space of his neck, inhaling his scent with force while remaining silent.
A silence that had a different meaning for both sides in that room where they were.
“She wanna ride me like a cruise and I'm not tryna lose”
Huey held tightly the wrists of the girl with the pink bow, beginning to hurt her as she began to cry. He left her, giving her a disdainful look and emitting an annoyed moan. Webby remained in her place but when he moved away from her, she quickly decided to follow him. Huey, instead of leaving the room, began to go around with rage, avoiding at all costs to make eye contact with Webby.
"Huey ..." she called him sounding repentant. What had she done? She couldn't love him like that. "Huey, look at me..." she called him lovingly, touching his arm gently but he pulled away quickly. Webby felt herself breaking. She was starting to felt desperate.
“Then you're left in the dust. Unless I stuck by ya “
They had been in this situation for weeks; first, everything was fine between them, he made her feel so good when he courted her and flattered her. Then everything went wrong and they both fought as if they were going to kill each other, sometimes there was a blow between them... Then they were forgiven each other and everything was fine again and she loved him again, only so that the cycle would repeat itself again. They were in a vicious circle.
Webby stayed close to Huey despite everything because they were older, and they knew how to fix their differences. Besides that when they were only everything went smoothly because she knew that he would treat her better in their privacy and would make her feel those sensations in her stomach. She had the guarantee that she could make him change this time.
She could make him change if she loved him.
I think your love would be too much”
"Huey wait..." she spoke again when she realized that he was heading to the door of her room, ready to leave and leave her alone. She wanted it with all her strength, she wanted to walk to him but something in her tied her to her place. Forcing her to remain static there. Huey ignored her despite her calls. "Please, don't go…"
"For what?" Huey screamed, looking at her with contempt, the black glow in his eyes had increased. Webby backed away. "So you're still so indecisive? So you keep rejecting me like that?" He raised his voice. Sometimes it was an advantage of how well Webby's room sealed the sound so no one else would hear what was happening. Other times it was a disadvantage. But now, he was calm that his brothers or someone else didn't know something and intervened.
"I-it's not that! I-I... "Webby wanted to talk, beginning to sob.
"You're still trying to make it like before. You keep trying to control me and handle me! "He growled, spitting out every word. Hiding the satisfaction that inside felt to see her horrified and guilty. Hiding the fact of how beautiful she looked crying. "This doesn't work"
“Of course it works!” Webby cried. Huey snorted without much patience. "Only, let me try again. Don’t leave me yet... "Webby begged, scrubbing her eyes to remove her tears. "Huey, I need you..." Huey hesitated.
“Every time I'm leavin' on ya. You don't make it easy, no”
"I don't need you" Huey shook his head, frowning, turning around and holding his hand to the knob, ignoring Webby's sobs and murmurs behind him.
“Huey… Please” she insisted.
“Enough Webby. Just shut up” he replied.
“Every time I'm walkin' out. I can hear you tellin' me to turn around”
Webby insisted by standing in front of the door to use her weight and prevent him from opening it. Another option she didn't have, she looked at him with a frown giving him one last chance to redeem himself. "No," she murmured before he made any further movement. Her tears had stopped but the reddish tint of her eyes still betrayed her, Huey kept his hand on the doorknob and gave a slight snort. Although his anger didn't last long, he released it when Webby brought her hand over his, pressing gradually. She lifted her gaze to him. "I love you..." she murmured.
“Fightin' for my trust and you won't back down. Even if we gotta risk it all right now”
For the first time in quite some time, Huey was truly surprised. He hesitated a moment and looked at her; there was a sweet love shining in Webby's eyes and that disgusted him. His game with her had come too far. Too far.
“I can't let you go, Huey,” she said softly, with a tiny smile in her beak and a deep blush in her cheeks. “Cause I love you… And if you love me too, you won’t cross that door. Please, don’t let me alone”
“I know you're scared of the unknown, you don't wanna be alone”
Huey's wicked smile convinced any trace of compassion or guilt he might have felt when he heard Webby's words. She was breathing only slightly accelerated, watching him expectantly when she got him to let go of the door and hold her hand, with which she stroked the back of his hand.
"Oh Webby, I'm so sorry" he apologized, staring at her with his dark eyes. His voice sounded low, but without any hint of emotion that matched his words. But Webby didn't notice it. "I promise to change..." he added, letting her hold him tightly, smiling and hugging him.
“I know I always come and go. But it's out of my control”
Webby leaned abruptly on the door of her room with the key in her hand and slid to the floor not caring too much to scrape with the wood of the door, or if some of her feathers fell off her causing a slight pain. In her closed room, she was sure after fleeing and her slight sobs soon became a loud cry when she hugged herself and buried her head in her arms. Hugging her knees in search of some kind of comfort for her battered and broken heart. Endless insults and curses to herself crossed her mind. The same thing had happened again. Once again she had finished, beginning again that vicious circle in which she was imprisoned.
“You're such an idiot” she insulted herself “... a damn idiot”
Her murmurs sounded like weak gasps thanks to the knot that formed in her throat, she tried to clear her throat to avoid drowning, although it didn't help her much. Outside of her messy room, she listened to the screams of the fervent fight between the three brothers; Louie's impotent whining, Dewey's angry screams, and Huey's hurtful insults. Webby frowned, crying harder at the thought of the last duck. The one who had played with her, the one who had made her feel so miserable and so complete at the same time. Webby slammed her fist against her head for how stupid she had been.
He had used her .. he had used her all this time and she... Webby cried harder, realizing how Huey had actually been. How she had let herself be influenced by feelings that weren't really there.
“I loved you….” she sobs. “I really loved you…”
“Then you're left in the dust. Unless I stuck by ya. You're the sunflower”
