“no shit,” matt agrees, keeping his voice low and rough, feeling the creak of a hairline fracture in his jaw as he presses a thumb to what he’d hoped was just a bone bruise. the older man had gotten just as roughed up as him ,too—he's never kept up much on other vigilantes outside his turf, but experiencing the batman in action’s definitely given him some respect for the guy. he’s always admired when someone can take that kind of beating and stay standing.
already, he finds himself thinking it might be fun to take his temporary ally on in the ring.
