seungjun holds back a incredibly deep sigh as he gnaws on his bottom lip impatiently. he was supposed to be on set half an hour ago and he was just arriving now. a few words are traded between his manager and the driver in the taxi but seungjun completely filters them out as he jumps out of the car the first chance he gets. hurriedly, he adjusts his corduroy jacket in silent agitation as he makes his way into the building where the shoot was scheduled.
the company van had hit a pothole in the road, unmarked by any caution signs or tape causing the delay. of course the director had politely told them to do their best to get there as soon as possible, but even then they had to wait for a professional to come and assist when they realized it was two wheels that had popped instead of one. as soon as it was known that they would be arriving later than half an hour, a staff member was sent out to grab extra refreshments for the entire production team as a personal apology in advance before the company sent an official apology for the inconvenience. meanwhile, seungjun hopped into a taxi with his manager while the assistant manager was left behind to handle the vehicle.
it was moments like these that seungjun hated the most because it wasn’t particularly anyone’s fault, but the way it would affect his image was something that would continue to bug him until he felt he made up for it. it didn’t matter either that many photographers and directors gave him an easy pass considering who he was. seungjun was a hard worker and if he could help it, there was nothing he would let make it look like he took the easy way out simply because he was a jung.
seungjun was also aware that he would be working with one of the members of june. unfortunately, that was as much information that had gotten passed on to him before the entire mishap. so in his haste to recognize who he would be working with he turned to the internet for help, searching up their biggest hits and members.
upon entering the actual set he could see that she was just in the process of finishing one of her solo shots. he knew that her schedule must have been packed as well considering that she was an idol. before he joining the industry, seungjun never had much time investing his attention into celebrities but he had heard of june which only showed how popular they truly were.
seungjun was usually pretty good under pressure. today seemed to be an exception as he realized he might not be able to match a name to her face. without much of a second thought, he made his way towards her, introducing himself and apologizing for his late arrival.
“my apologies for my late arrival. i hope it didn’t cause too much of an inconvenience for you. my name is seungjun and i’ll be working with you for today’s photoshoot. you must be sujin?”
