#HRReadthon Day 1 Prompt: first historical romance you discovered. My first ever historical I actually really discovered and read was Secret by Julie Garwood. Actually, one of the hosts from this readathon, @peacelovebooksxo, recommended it and I was like it has romance, why not? I stayed up reading until 6am that day!! I haven’t stayed up that long with a book in forever and that solidified my new love for historical romances. Even better is that Secret is a Highlander romance and that made me want to also give Highlander books a chance. . . I started this readathon last night and I’ve already DNFed a book. I was listening to The Devil’s Bride by Stephanie Laurens which has a lot of good reviews but I got 30% in and I was just bored with it. I’m going to try her other series though and see if I like it better. Also, I’m about 60% in Devil in Winter by Lisa Kleypas and loving it! . . .
