      it had been late in the night that jess was walking around the streets, not even seeming worried at all of the dangers that might lurk in the shadows. feet carried her along further and further into the darkness and it was only a matter of time before trouble found her. some petty thief looking for a wallet. the tussle between the two was short but jessica had gotten COCKY and therefore SLOPPY. he’d managed to get a few good licks in along with a quick slash to her side. nothing too serious but enough to stagger her. he left, without the money of course, leaving her injured. for the most part, she was just pissed.   “ you better run! ”   the girl calls out after the other, but then something caught her attention. a presence, a feeling of eyes on her. slowly she turns towards the sensation, finding someone in a suit.   “ thanks for just watching, jerk. ”
