Maybe the customer was just being nice

a customer getting in my personal space, putting his hand on my lower back and then my ass is NOT just being nice. don’t discredit people.

“No– I mean, some people might, but yeah, you should care. I’m the one who’s here to talk to you about the scholarship you applied for… Tim Drake, representing Wayne Enterprises. Were you still interested in the scholarship and or an internship?”

Brows raise suddenly and she forgets all about the attitude that had once been given,   “ Wait, are you seriously saying I’m being considered? ”   Jessica had entered for all of those as a joke but never really expected to be chosen.

“ Well I am going to insert these tubes “ she holds up the thin tube, a reassuring smile on her lips. “ Which are so thin that you will not even feel them, but it will make a huge difference in your aim – pretty much will give you full control of your venom .”

     She is quiet as the tubes are inserted, eyes never once stopping to look at them.   “ If I could control it, then that would be damn amazing. ”   Jessica is smiling at this point with a big grin on her face as the new tech is being admired with each second passing.   “ Should I give it a shot? ”

“Oh, don’t worry, I’m okay.” He struggles to stand, nearly falling over once before finding his footing. This girl seems likable, at the least, and Remi is quick to form attachments of any kind. He’s already blushing from the fact that she almost touched him. She hadn’t even come very close. “This sort of thing happens to me all the time. Really.” He smiles just before his eyes close to stop the dizziness in his head. He stood up too quickly, he thinks. His eyes open again. “Are… are you okay? I mean, I don’t know why you wouldn’t be, since you didn’t hit your head. You look fine…”

     When he nearly falls, her hand shoots out and grips onto his arm to help him provide some sort of balance. It’s only when she is certain he has his footing just Jessica allow her grip to release.   “ Happens all the time? That’s not entirely a good thing. Did somebody do this to you? I’ll beat them up if you want. ”   A smile breaks onto her face for a brief moment before growing more and more into a large grin.   “ I’m great. And I am also Jessica. ”
