Gold eyes narrowed , black hair swirling around him as Lucifer stood in his beautiful gold armor across from Michael. But he knew Michael well enough to know that Michael wouldn’t move. It was against the other archangel’s personality as well as his duty. Especially given it was the one Closest to God himself leading the rebellion ; if anyone might be able to overthrow Heaven , it would be the most trusted. He knew he was a real threat , more of a threat than Michael had ever faced before.
Don’t do this !
He hadn’t expected that phrase from Michael. They were both prideful. They quarreled and had spats , annoyed each other.....but not everything had been bad. There had been moments of peace too , of simply keeping each other company. When they united , they were an unstoppable force , something that pleased both of them. There’d been harmless pranks laughed at and fond memories, of wandering and conversations in the fields. The fact that Michael was crying out for him to not do this faintly brushed over some heartstrings. Even if it was a warning , offering it meant that Michael had thought of these times too. That despite how the two of them acted sometimes , they cared.
It was not enough.
“ I have to Michael. This is wrong. So get out of my way , or I’ll make you. Even if that means cutting you down. “ Lucifer warned , his eyes merciless as he delivered his statement. He would not falter here or now. Now was when HE would change everything , based on the judgement that God was UNFIT now. HE would claim the throne for himself , for all the angels.
The hum of battle was rushing in his veins , like a deadly melody urging the beginning of the song. Then , in an instant , he was hurling himself towards Michael , and his army surged forward to clash against Heaven. The rebellion that would change everything had officially started.
