his sense of duty and the way he struggles, deeply, to want something for himself and then to let himself have it. he chooses to be good and noble and abstain from most everything that's selfish, including in indulging for his own pleasure and enjoyment. he does love, and love deeply, but even his closest loved ones, and anyone in any kind of relationship with him, will find that gabriel puts a wall up between them.

oh, is there EVER?? yes, absolutely. his entire character arc right now is a refusal to heal from pain, rejection, and grief, and he's turned all of this rage and made himself into a monster, instead of healing. a lot of it is due to the actual curse that's on his bloodline, but the rest of it is the refusal to heal.

honestly, i don't think there's anything. like, she thinks being mean and cruel and violent is gross, but then also, gestures to the company she keeps. of course, it only puts her off if it's happening to someone else. you can be as awful to her as you want, and she won't stop you, she'll probably find some way to blame herself, and she'll let you do it again.

        HIS EYES trailed down to her legs, admiring how long they looked in the incredibly short skirt she wore. “ah, of course she did,” austin rolled his eyes. “at this point, i’m pretty sure she’s obsessed over me.” he would have also been obsessed with her... had zenith not been in the picture. he’d always admired how headstrong zenith appeared to be and he won’t deny that part of the reason why he was also attracted to her was because he knew that she was technically forbidden. austin had always been one of those guys who liked the chase and well, zenith gave him a pretty good one. “i think you’re trying to tease me into making a move on you,” he decided, a small smirk on his lips. “or at least, you want to tease me and see how far you can go before i... react. am i wrong?”
