Hello! I'm interested but have a few questions: 1. Is it one person per prompt for fic, and first come first serve? 2. Will the prompts be available to claim on 6/21? The FAQs read like that's the first day for submissions, so I want to be sure I understand the timeline. 3. Will our fic be live once we submit, or will there be a posting schedule after the due date of 9/21?

Hello, here are some details to remember for the Hot Horror Summer fest!

Choosing prompts on a first come first serve basis does not exist for this event. All participants can use any of the prompts. There will not be any prompt claiming or anything like that. If you're writing a fic, you may use more than one prompt but the minimum word count requirement goes up. See screenshots below.

The event begins on June 21, so participants can start posting their fanworks on that day. The event ends on September 21, posting ends that day as well.

Once the event collections open on ao3 and squidge, they will be unmoderated and not anonymous/unrevealed. Participants can post at whatever time they like during the fest timeframe and fanworks will be visible a few minutes after posting.

All participants are required to fill out the fanwork submission form so their promo posts can be reposted/reblogged onto bluesky/tumblr and so their works can be included on the event masterlist at the end of the fest. Failure to do so means a participants work may not make it onto the masterlist.
