█ ✣ █ It was not uncommon for Eros to hear the playful impatient tone of voice the other carried. He had been prolonging the event as far as he could. The blond had to admit, that he was proud in some way for his boyfriend to be this patience. Then again the fact that they were in public and Ivy was beside them could have been a playing factor in Alex’s behavior. “ A’ight. I guess you deserve it now.” The agent’s own words were playful but under-lining them was a hint of hesitation. 7 months together and today was going to be a large step for the couple. ‘ Fake it until ya make it.’ Words he told himself constantly replayed in his mind as the elder’s hand reached into the inner pocket of his suit coat.
Smooth leather greeted the callous fingers of Eros as he pulled out the small square box. One that very much resembled that of a ring. Ivy’s giggles of excitement were a smoothing sound to the tense blonde. “ I know it’s been a while. Seven months together.” Eros paused sliding the box towards his unexpected lover. “ We’ve had our ups and downs like any couple. Remember back durin’ christmas. I told ya’ wanted you for the long run? And I think it’s time for us to push a little bit forth towards that long run, Alexander. It’s not a proposal.” He wanted to assure his boyfriend, before he could think of anything else. It wasn’t because he didn’t want to propose but they still had a lot to over come before that happened. “ Not yet at least. Ivy and I want us to be a family. I know ya probably ain’t ready for it and you can say no if you want to.” Eros’ hand gracefully opened the smooth leather box to reveal a silver glistening key. “ But this is the key to our new apartment. If you accept the proposal Ivy and I are givin’ ya. We want nothin’ more but for us to be together and I want nothin’ more but to wake up every mornin’ to your face.”
He was nervous. Her heart was pounding in his chest but at the same time, Eros felt a rush of peace engulf him.
He left his heart in the open and his desires to be known. It was now Alex’s move.
