Junpei has a bigass crush on Akihiko in the first part of the game & you can’t tell me he doesn’t bc he’s always really adorably eager to see him and share his interests and whatnot but he never outright acts on it because of Reasons and akihiko is totally clueless obviously so that’s hopeless atm

they fuck or almost fuck at the love hotel u pick which one u prefer (this is actual canon)

then they both lose the people most important to them and dude?? they obviously help each other cope & move on & eventually junpei’s feelings come back to hit him like a truck at which point akihiko is ofc also really into him because he’s gay as fuck and junpei is just that perfect. read my in-progress fanfic through beginnings and ends available now on ao3 for more details on this subject
