I remember when I had to give mine allergy medication that was banana nut bread flavoured. Pippin LOVED IT SO MUCH and kept trying to steal it and Merri was like nUH DO NOT WANT and I would always have to burrito Merri to make him take his medicines

Haha Baytril tastes super awful, which is dumb because rats are so prone to respiratory infections, and one course of Baytril is 10 days, so it'd make life a hell of a lot easier if they made Baytril TASTY, but oh well. My four oldest boys can easily be persuaded to eat their Baytril if I slather a few rolled oats in the stuff, but the rest of my lot aren't really interested in eating anything at all, really, outside the cage, so even bribing them with treats goes ignored. Well, mostly actually it's Remus and Skywise who won't really accept anything, or they'll take it and then immediately drop it, unless they're all out on my bed or something. So with them it's a little hard to trick them into eating their meds. With the Ivomec I'd also rather not be trying to mix it up with something, because they're literally getting 0.03 ml each, so since it's such a tiny dosage, I'd rather it go straight into their mouth from the syringe. Remus actually did lap it up from the syringe, he was one of the boys who actually thought it was tasty, so I guess he's starting to grow out of the "I can't eat treats while hanging out on your shoulder" phase. Skywise is just in general a quite shy thing though, so he might never be easy to medicate, unless he grows calmer with age. He's getting better, he'll come to the cage door and grab at my fingers and stuff, but he freaks out when I pick him up - he needs to come out on his own terms, or he'll go bananas.
