💯💯💯💯 . . Reposted from @wavecollege Thankful today for the love Sy Rogers so freely gave. What a gift he was to our student body. Our students were blessed to spend hours with him just last year. He was in town for #devotedconf but he took an extra day out just for our students. He never cared more about the big crowds than he cared for each individual. In memory, sharing some notes from his last visit with us: 1. Rather than win an argument, win neighbors. 2. Point people to the character and capability of God always first. 3. Be true to God and not your feelings. 4. Christianity doesn’t remove you from your humanity - it shows you how to deal. 5. The old master may call my name, but HE calls my name - I can stay submitted to HIM! 6. Humans are the support, not the source. God is the source. You are under no obligation to pretend to be a therapist. 7. I can have a new father in Christ. 8. He calls us to seek Him - Christ has said “learn about me”.
