Hey folks, here is what I am teaching at ConVocation this year:

Basics of Heathen Souls: Sálættr https://convocation2026.sched.com/event/2CHEY/basics-of-heathen-souls-salaettr Saturday February 21, 2026 6:00pm - 7:30pm EST Conference Room B Description: This workshop explores the basics of Heathen Souls as they exist in community, called a Sálættr, or soul tribe/clan. Each soul is understood as a Being unto Itself in community with each other in ways that makes each one of us unique. This workshops explores what each soul is, how each soul makes up the Sálættr, and how we are, in and between ourselves, a community. Bring your questions, comments, and reflections!

Basics of Seiðr https://convocation2026.sched.com/event/2CHEb/basics-of-seidr Sunday February 22, 2026 11:00am - 12:30pm EST Conference Room B Description: Seiðr at its core is magic done with vættir, spirits, to affect change in Urðr or Wyrd, the interconnected tapestry or carving of creation. Involved with seiðr is a complex of magical actions, rituals, and varieties of vættir that can be involved with its performance and uses. This workshop covers the basics of this system of magic, how to do seiðr as safe as possible, and ways to explore with seiðr for yourself.Bring your experiences and questions.

The Kabbalistic Cross

-A how to

One of the easiest procedures to master, is the Kabbalistic Cross (also know as the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram) —traditionally performed before doing really anything.

Why perform this? Well there could be many reasons, spiritual protection, alignment, and purification tend to be the biggest reasons.

I personally do it before meditating at the least, and before rituals/convocations/spells at the most.

A note before I explain how to do it, this ritual does not stem from any specific religion as it comes mostly from the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. So do not fret, it’s ok to do this ritual regardless of your beliefs.

HOW TO—

From the book “Magic an Occult Primer” by David Conway

This ritual can be done with visualization or without. (Though I suggest visualizing)

Begin by standing strait (or imagine you are) up feet planted on the ground.

Imagine a cloud of light hanging above your head.

Reach your right hand up above your head, and touch the light, drawing it down towards you.

Place you middle finger streaming the light in the center of your forehead and say the word ‘Ateh’.

With the light still streaming from your finger, touch your solar plexus (the middle of your chest) and say ‘Malkuth’

As you do this, picture more light streaming up from the ground meeting the light at your head creating a band.

Next, touch your right shoulder saying the word ‘Ve Geburah’.

And with your finger still trailing light, touch your left shoulder saying the word ‘Ve Gedulah’.

Now folding your hands infront of your body, say ‘Le Olahm, Am-en’

There will be notes on the words used later in this post.

Now you can stop here, bring yourself back, or as the writer suggests:

Eyes still closed and hands crossed, Imagine the four branches of the visualized cross are reaching outwards growing in size along with yourself.

You may imagine yourself positioned above the universe. Give yourself a few moments to be here, then you can come back to normal size and open your eyes.

Another (extension of the Kabbalistic cross) activity can be to imagine a sword that you draw a circle of light around yourself with. This can be almost like extra protection from outside forces.

NOTES:

—The light mentioned in this ritual, is described as the ketheric light that “crowns the Tree of Glory”

—On the meanings of the words highlighted:

‘Ateh’- Unto Thee

‘Malkuth’- The Kingdom

‘Ve Geburah’- And The Power

‘Ve Gedulah’ And the Glory

‘Le Olahm’- Unto All The Ages

Feel free to use the Hebrew or English versions of these words, but note that the vibrations from the Hebrew pronunciation have extended their efficacy to the ritual.

Amen is not necessary, but is not exclusive to Christianity and surrounding faiths. Use it if you’d like, or add your own.

A convocation of eagles.

Heat haze and distance made it difficult photography. There were at least 5 Wedgetail Eagles and 3 Little Eagles gathered around the corpse of a kangaroo. The one on the corpse was the last to leave. These were taken on the Savannah Way, heading to Burketown. Wedgetails are Australia's largest eagle, with a wingspan of just over 2 meters.

For all bunnydoll shippers, that happens to be artist: In my country, Ragatha's voice actress (Fernanda Baronne) also voiced Mavis from Hotel Transylvania. It made me wonder, could some of you, talented people, draw the zing scene for bunnydoll? If I was skilled enough, I'd do it. Whatever, pretty please?
