So Jay decided they needed a date night. Which , if anyone asks, he’ll fully deny was ever his idea. Everyone would buy it was Evie’s idea, anyway, right? But you know, Evie’s the type of girl that deserves everything. And he wants to give her as much as he can. So all the cheesy romantic things? he’s.. well, it didn’t come naturally to him. But he’s trying for her. He had some help from Lonnie and Jane with setting it up, they cooked some stuff that they were convinced Evie would love and that wouldn’t be too much. Jay of course had a lot of other snacks on the table too ( food’s just too good to resist in Auradon ). Anyhow, he let her pick the movie. But at some point they fell asleep together on the couch, his arm draped over her shoulders.
When he woke, it took him a minute to realize where they were. they were entirely covered in the dark except for the television screen. The images annoying him at this point, so he’s trying very subtly to reach for the remote to turn it off. But with Evie against him ( looking all beautiful asleep, god she’s amazing ) he didn’t want to wake her. although now he also had the urge to press soft kisses to her face…… he tries to focus on the remote though, his other arm still wrapped around her, keeping her close, trying his best not to wake her by the small movements... and then he rolls off the couch and hits the ground with loud thud and a groan --abrubtly being separated from Evie and the comfort it brought.
