random ask time! bc phew i haven't sent random asks to my mutuals in wayyy too long - gotta reclaim my brand. if marcel, reiner, eren, had phones, what are 5 images we'd find in their camera roll? 👀
Okay, this one has been in my inbox for quite some time, and I think I do owe an apology for taking so long. I think this is an interesting question especially since their personalities change up quite a bit depending on when we're looking at their phones.
Let me start it off with Marcel.
For Marcel, I wouldn't be surprised if he had baby photos of Porco in there. But I think the five things you'd find in his camera roll would be:
Selfies of him and Porco
A photo of his fellow Warrior Candidates
A step-by-step instruction of something that he knows Porco has trouble with
A scenery that he'd like to share with his brother
A photo of the harbor when they departed from Marley
For Eren, during his scout years, I think that he'd have a few blury stolen shots of Mikasa in there. But he would have it in his delete history and before the thirty days are up, he'll restore it again and delete is again just so no one sees them on his phone. Otherwise, I think he'd have the following on his camera roll:
A photo of the Scouting Legion
A selfie of him, Armin, and Mikasa
A photo of the 104th Battalion
A selfie of Hange and him when he's transformed into the Attack Titan (as snapped by Hange)
A photo of a very VERY clean window pane to put Levi at ease
In his days in Marley, Eren's camera roll would have:
The hospital in Liberio
Different locations around Marley
A photo of Marleyan higher ups (as passed by Zeke)
Blueprints of Liberio (as passed by Zeke)
A stolen photo of Mikasa eating ice cream
Now for Reiner, let's be real that in his camera roll as a scout, he'd probably have a number of stolen shots of Krista. A literal shutter bug if he can find the right time to take it. Some of them has Ymir's hand blocking the view. But otherwise:
A selfie of him, Bertholdt, and Annie who is cut off because she walked out of frame
A stolen picture of Krista when she helps out at the local hospice
A photo of the 104th Battalion
A photo of maps and routes taken by the Scouts
A photo of his mother
Now, when it comes to Reiner going back in Marley, it's a bit more simple. But these are the things that are closest to his heart:
A picture of his mother
A picture of Gabi
A photo of the new Warrior Candidates
Stolen shots of the remaining Warriors
A selfie of him, Bertholdt, and Annie who is cut off because she walked out of frame
good morning. happy/tragic to report that i woke up still wearing my "thinking about the porco + reiner (+ marcel) dynamic" clown shoes.
i don't have any specific questions (yet?). this ask is just me dragging you into the trenches of my nonsense and giving you a space to share any thoughts and feelings you might have about reiner's dynamic with / feelings towards both porco, and marcel.
-You call it tragic but I love seeing you on my dash and inbox, sharing your random little thoughts with me LOL. Ho boy my feelings towards Porco, Marcel and Reiner's little dynamic? Well I'd be happy to share my little HC's about their dynamic but not at all canon so take it with a grain of salt.
Reiner Braun + Porco Galliard:
As a kid Reiner and Porco definitely didn't get along with one another, always at each others throats any chance they got which made training a bit tense. Reiner always tried to one-up Porco by attempting to prove him wrong, show that he would be a better Warrior than he ever could. Porco teased Reiner any chance he got to get on his nerve or make him cry to put Reiner in his place. However when Reiner got picked to be the armored titan he took this as a chance to rub everything in Porco's face completely unaware that it was Marcel who convinced their superiors to give him the armored instead of his brother.
As adults Porco still resents Reiner but by this point in his life Reiner could care little about what Porco thinks of him, he could careless what anyone thinks of him as he's far to focused on what he's done. Porco can poke and prod at him but he just won't give him the reaction he usually would have and instead will agree with most of what Porco says....yes, maybe if Porco had gotten the armored titan things would have been different, maybe Marcel would still be alive but there was no changing the past now and he'd just have to live with that guilt.
Reiner Braun + Marcel Galliard:
As a kid Reiner never really got into fights with Marcel but would often get lectured about his behavior towards Porco. Porco himself received these same lectures. Marcel was more of a mediator between the two trying to keep the peace and get them to work together like a team....it's safe to say that never really happens but he still tried his best....if only to not hear them shouting at one another in the same room. Marcel is the one who often had to break up fights between Porco and Reiner and he's the reason Reiner got the armored titan and would apologize to Reiner for what he's done even if at the time Reiner didn't really understand why he was apologizing to him...he would later.
Reiner looked up to Marcel, he always admired how much of a natural leader he was and in some way he wanted to be just like him. They weren't related but he did see him as a brother figure often times asking Marcel for help with training or class assignments of which he was more than happy to help Reiner with.
Despite Marcel being the only reason he got the armored titan, Reiner holds no grudges against him and if he could he would go back and save him.
what type of pet would reiner + connie want as a companion? would it be the same pet their child-selves would have wanted?
Reiner Braun;
He'd want a dog! If he had a dog he could have an excuse to go on random little walks, play fetch with them. And let's be honest Reiner could use an emotional support buddy...Sure he had Bertholdt as his rock to keep him steady but it's a bit different when it comes to your furry buddy! He can't exactly pull Bertholdt into his bed and just snuggle him till he falls asleep, he's not going to burden Bert with his emotional turmoil poor guys got his own problems (but hey he'd listen to Berts problems always there to lend an ear or shoulder to cry on, gotta stay strong for his friend.).
He'd take such good care of his dog too, only give it the best food he can get...he probably would make them food, he'd make sure they're healthy and if they're sick you won't find him going anywhere, no sir he's staying right there with his fluffy baby you can't move him.
Reiner would definitely want a dog as a child, his mom wouldn't have that though said they're dirty, smelly and a lot of work plus he needed to focus on his training so she felt a pet would just distract him.
Connie Springer;
Let's be real Connie's the kind of guy that would try to go for an exotic pet....he'd have a fucking bear if he could and he'd enjoy it! Let's say he finds a cub all on it's own, he can't say no to that cute chubby bear so he's keeping it. He's gonna train it to his best ability, feed it, love on it and shelter it. He knows he can't keep that thing locked up in some room so he let's them roam around in a secluded area in the forest within the walls and comes to visit them. The bear never mauls him and Connie has like no fear so just imagine this idiot riding on top of this bear being a complete idiot.
Anyone else? Mauled, dead....Connie? Well he's lucky this bear see's him as a parent otherwise he'd be joining the afterlife. He'd defend this bear with his life he loves them so no bearskin for you. Now if he had a normal pet?? Honestly a snake, he'd carry it around everywhere and scare the others with it....but Connie would definitely want a bear.
Would a bear be the same pet he'd want as a child? No he wanted a cat at first, but Connie and cats don't mix.....they just don't like him.
u liked my horses post. i c u. tell me about your characters horses. pls.
-OH! I was not expecting this oh my! I shall do my best to go over the 104ths horses along with Erwin and Levi's just keep in mind these are my HC and not at all canon LOL
Here are the assigned horses for the 104th!
Armin Arlert :
Greta, a 9 year old mare who is very docile and enjoys grazing in the fields with the other horses though she often times prefers spending her time around the Scouts and if she spots one of them she'll neigh and neigh aggressively nodding her head at them and knocking her hooves against the fence until they come over to pay attention to her.
On expeditions Greta, like many of the other horses in the Survey Corp, isn't scared of the titans or the sound of the ODM gear when it's engaged. She'll follow from a distance while the young blond fights with titans but as soon as she hears that whistle she's beside him in an instant allowing him to mount her, but not before messing his hair up with her mouth...she's just happy he's okay.
Bertolt Hoover:
Frieda, a 8 year old mare that much like her rider, Bertolt, prefers to be alone in her own little corner. She doesn't like all the commotion but performs well on expeditions, she prefers the comfort of her stall or being alone in the fields...often times if she spots Bertolt, Erwin or Levi she'll quietly attempt to get their attention.
Sometimes she can have a temper if you push her buttons enough, Connie learned the hard way not to try to make her get in the fields with other horses the hard way.
Connie Springer:
Lea, a 12 year old mare who absolutely refuses to be put in retirement. She is young at heart but mature and well tempered, she has a lot of patience which made her the perfect horse for Connie. Connie thinks he's taking care of Lea but it's Lea who's taking care of Connie, coming in clutch at the last second to snatch the boy just out of reach of the titans grasps.
Lea get's along with all the horses except Frieda who absolutely REFUSES to mingle with her...not a surprise but Lea still tries.
Eren Yeager:
Ingrid, a sassy and cunning 7 year old mare who sometimes gives Eren a hard time when it comes to bath day. Unlike the other horses who don't mind or even love being bathed, Ingrid well huff and kick the bucket over to spill the water and force Eren to go get more....during that time she will attempt to slip away from her restrains. She hates Ymir for reasons no one knows...she must have done something to Ingrid to get her to be so spiteful to the girl.
On expeditions Ingrid is as reliable as any other horse, she knows her place and knows how to do her job and she does it well...this won't stop her from attempting to kick at Eren if he walks up behind her...don't sneak up on her you will get your skull caved in.
Erwin Smith:
Hartwin, a 16 year old stallion who can often times be seen standing or laying under the shade of a tree, he's very docile and loving. If someone's having a hard day they often times can be seen going to the stables where Hartwin will be waiting to nuzzle his face up against them and listen to their problems...whether he's actually listening or just enjoying the free attention is up for debate but nonetheless the Scouts find him to be one of the most loving of their horses.
Hartwin is loyal to Erwin and will be at the Commanders side when called within seconds, he never hesitates to charge head first into battle. And when Erwin was grabbed from his back he was the first to turn and chase down the titan to follow.
Jean Kirstein:
Buchwald, a 10 year old stallion that Jean was first introduced to on the 57th expedition the two were quite compatible. Buchwald enjoyed having Jean as their rider though he can be a bit scatter brained and like Charrette he might try to eat your hair if he's bored enough, luckily it's not a bad habit he does often...sill Jean keeps them at an arms length from his hair...better safe than sorry.
On expeditions Buchwald is as reliable as the others, though he can get a little turned around when looking for his rider mid battle.
Krista Lenz:
Heidi, a 9 year old mare as gentle and loving as the girl that rides her with a hidden temper not many have seen. Often times she can find her standing quietly in her stall or prancing about in the fields with the other horses, actively avoids Ingrid. She loves apples and will consider you her best friend if you can manage to bring her the sweetest one.
There isn't much to say about Heidi when it comes to expeditions, like the others she follows her rider around and waits for the whistle to call her over. She is very mindful not to step on fallen Scout members. Is it out of respect or simply because she trips over them? Who can say.
Levi Ackermann:
Schatz, a 14 year old mare who's bitter to everyone around her besides her rider. She can often times be spotted nudging, licking or biting at Levi's cloth to get his attention. If he's cleaning the stables Schatz will wait for him to pass by her stall before gently nipping at the white cloth on his head to get his attention which surprisingly Levi doesn't mind all that much because she does her job so well the least he can do is give the horse some affection when they wanted it.
Even during breaks between their expeditions you can find Levi gently petting Schatz showing his appreciation to her which was usually rewarded with a lick to his hand or face...sure he's not the biggest fan of the saliva but it was a small price to pay.
Mikasa Ackermann:
Baldavin, a 10 year old stallion who's very cold and calculating. He doesn't waste his time trying to like everyone and focuses on keeping himself alive and happy, he follows orders well on expeditions. Not once has he given Mikasa trouble, the both of them have a clear understanding of where they stand with one another and work well on the field together.
Unfortunately Baldavin would receive an injury later on that prevents him from joining on any further expeditions which would lead Mikasa to get a new horse....however she does visit Baldavin when she can.
Reiner Braun:
Matilda, a 9 year old mare who's quite literally the most pampered of all the horses within the Scouts and that's all thanks to Reiner who takes her health and well being seriously, after all a well tended horse did great on the fields and this was indeed true for Matilda who strives her best to push herself to the limits.
Matilda get's along well with the others with the exception of Ingrid and Buchwald....she absolutely loves to pester Frieda however and does her best to gain her fellow mares attention. But her outgoing and energetic personality just doesn't clash with Frieda's calm and quiet demeanor.
Sasha Blouse:
Luca, a 7 year old stallion who has energy to burn! He can often times be seen running through the fields none stop, how he has so much energy even after an expedition is crazy but extremely helpful. Still Sasha makes sure that he doesn't burn through all his energy...if that's even possible.
Sasha can often times be spotted sneaking carrots and apples out to Luca, who eagerly snatches the food from the girl making a mess all over in front of his stall. He can be playful and sometimes hides tools around the stables and fields....this drives Levi insane but what is he going to do lecture them? No but he does lock him in his stall....
Ymir:
Dusty( formally known as Stefan), a 15 year old stallion who's been renamed by Ymir as Dusty...no reason just because he's old and in her opinion shouldn't be running expeditions anymore. That and she does care about Dusty and often times talks to him during their expeditions asking how the old guy is doing, if he needs a little break, maybe slow down.
However Dusty seeks to prove that he's just fine riding with the others by out running others and showing off just how much energy and sass he has. Did I mention he likes to bully Connie?
throwing a wildcard here but ofc you dont have to answer it. "You know I love you, right?" from one of your character's parent to them (maybe connie, sasha, or erwin)
Are you Ashamed of Me?
Huh? What was that about?
Connie thought to himself as he looked back to his mother, he had been packing his bags for the day he left Ragako Village to start his Cadet training...which if he remembered correctly it was just 3 days away. But to have his mom come into his room and ask him if he knows she loved him....was she really that worried about him?
" Yeah, of course I know you love me mom." he said before smiling and going over to her, embracing her in a gentle hug before chuckling as he pulls away " I know you all love me, I'm not leaving cause of anything like that." he'd reassure her now.
" I'll be back once I become a Military police! I'll make you guys proud and the village will take me more seriously! Not to mention once I get into the MPs I'll get paid a good amount so I can send you guys some money too so you won't have to work so hard anymore mom! I promise I'll get it done! And then I'll come home and visit you guys, maybe I'll introduce you to some friends I made." he beamed.
this v clearly isn't from a meme i just have no chill and i'm CURIOUS. for any muses you feel like answering: how did they react/what did they think when they discovered the truth about titans originally being humans?
-I live for the random asks so don't worry about it, I just hope I can give a satisfactory response!
-When Connie first learned that Titans had originally been people who shifted into Titans he felt conflicted ESPECIALLY considering the events at Ragako Village. The knowledge that everyone from his village turned into Titans and how so many of them died, he knew and loved all the people in his village even those he didn't get along with.
-He had to live with the knowledge that not only were the people he grew up with gone but his family as well, aside from his mother who still laid immobile on their collapsed house, His siblings, Father, old childhood friends, and neighbors, all of them were gone. Cut down by the Scouts but he knew he couldn't be upset but it still hurt knowing if he had his gear that day that he himself could have their blood on his hands.
-And once that knowledge sinks in he begins to wonder how many people he's killed on expeditions, did they have families too? Siblings, children, friends? What were their names, how old were they? What kind of food did they like to eat? Hobbies? What did they look like? Did they get along with others? These were all questions that plagued his mind but still he tried his best to pretend he was fine for the others, he had to be the class clown and cheer everyone up.
blood or sign or umbrella (cant decide u pick) from eld
actions speak louder than words
blood, sender cleans blood off of receiver.
sign, sender walks into a sign and receiver sees. ( I don't get this at all? )
umbrella, sender lets receiver under their umbrella.
Rain was falling heavily. All activity had to suddenly pause. If it was an expedition, they’d be damned. Many were the risk factors when venturing outside the walls, and bad weather was no less dangerous than the others. Levi had found shelter at the stables, waiting for the downpour to quiet down. A figure was seen approaching, holding an umbrella. Eld. Levi wouldn’t have minded getting wet. He wouldn’t make a fuss over such a minor thing, despite his short temper. He wouldn’t take his frustration out on his squad, if that was what they feared — did they fear him? When they stared with wide eyes, on edge on his presence, was it fear, they felt? Levi wouldn’t have minded getting wet, to return to the headquarters in this weather. He simply didn’t want to.
Levi despised rain, and the cold air of unfulfillment it carried — of insufferable melancholy. Unsteady feet on slippery ground, boots sinking to the sticky mud, clothes getting wet as if asking for a cold . . . the urgency to find shelter, to run away, to escape. All senses he couldn’t stand, all his nightmares were made of. In one of the worst moments of his life, rain had accompanied him, raindrops mixing with tears — concealing the existence of his heart, at the sight of the last of his family having died before him. The heavy dark clouds also carried a reminder ( he never forgot, never kept on living without their absence, a part of their hearts residing inside his, filling in for the missing pieces ), the reminder of who he had once been and the choice to deny himself and start over.
Unbeknownst to Eld, other than an umbrella to share, he had offered him a distraction. Levi preferred his company, over the silence of his mind, and the sound of falling rain. On other days, when the weather was the same, the captain found himself indoors, too busy with paperwork to pay any mind — a rare occasion he’d attempt to fool himself, consciously averting his eyes from the window. ❝ Do you want to catch a cold? ❞ said he, who didn’t carry an umbrella to begin with, before approaching, getting close enough to fit them both. ❝ Let’s go. I can’t stand this shitty weather. ❞ A foul mouth he couldn’t control, and wouldn’t, for he had earned that right — not from a position of authority, he never abused power like many on his rank would — but mostly because of a closeness they shared, of mutual understanding. With him, Levi could speak his mind, without any restraints.
