The candle I dedicated to Lady Athena burned out so I decided to get her a new one. I had some burned candles and ones that I don't use, I decided to melt them into a new candle.

Embroidered altar cloth pattern for Yule / Winter Solstice
I’m trying to make an embroidered altar cloth for all of the pagan celebrations of this year. They’re inspired and based on traditional German cross stitch patterns. So here’s my design for Yule / Winter Solstice (feel free to use it yourself :) ):
I'm probably gonna embroider it on a dark blue or dark purple fabric to symbolize the dark season
Pattern:
the pattern is from a German pattern book from 1760
(the pattern has a size of about 255 x 103 stitches)
A little more personal of a post than I’d normally make - but I just (mostly) finished this cross stitch for my mother in-laws birthday this weekend.
I assembled the design myself out of bits of other cross stitch patterns - and offered my efforts and intentions to Hera and Lady Athena.
I don’t work with or worship either Thea regularly (if ever) but I felt called to offer this project to them 🕯️

Working on a devotional craft project...
Apollo: You know, you can make something for me without adding glitter to it.
Me: Oh. Well, I can always paint over it.
Apollo: Woah, hey, let's not do anything rash here. 😂
Scarf/stole update: the merino, while awesome, was stretching rather more than I wanted it to, so I added a bamboo/cotton border to get it to keep its shape. I like the way the white highlights it!
I occasionally use a cane, and I’ve been meaning to spruce it up somehow. What better time than before the Trans March? And what better design than a thyrsos?
Devotional idea: Make paper flowers!
They’re quick, easy, and are also biodegradable if you want to burn/bury them as an offering (please check the potential hazards of whatever paper you are using if it is anything other than standard printer or toilet paper, and do not burn or bury floral wire.). My favorite is this tutorial: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gk4qY61AzvE which shows you how to make three different kinds of flowers out of toilet paper.
prayer beads for Lady Athena 🦉📿
(I had to take it apart and re do it bc I used the wrong wire good gods)
