Since I finished a few things on my last progress report, thought I'd post a new one with what's been on my mind recently. This isn't all the fic WIPs and concepts I have, but just a small handful of the ones I've been thinking about recently. No guarantee these will get finished (especially anytime soon), but rambling helps clear my head.

Customer Loyalty (OFF) Pred/Prey: Batter 🍽 Zac//harie Planned out, waiting for drive to write Sequel to No Free Samples. Was originally gonna be safe vore, but I was struck by vivid imagery while daydreaming about it and decided to explore Batter as a more cruel pred this time around. Want to step outside my usual comfort zone for writing vore and tap into my love of the horrors™.

The earth swallows me whole (and I welcome it) (Mons//ter Hun//ter) Pred/Prey: Sha//ra Ishv//alda 🍽 Hunter 15-40% Quick comfort fic I never finished based on a non-vore fanfic/AU I have yet to finish writing anything for. Not sure I'll finish it since it was just meant to be something short and personal for my own comfort, but who knows. Finished it roughly two days after making this post lmao.

Devour you (Original) Pred/Prey: Kerosyne 🍽 (unnamed person) Rewriting  A vivid dream that's been lingering in my head for over a year, so trying to turn it into a fic. Featuring my previously featured shapeshifter OC in their “normal", not kaiju-sized forme. Fucked up the tense my first time writing it (kept switching it) so need to redo most of it to stay consistent. [Read scrapped first attempt here]

Don't play with my food (D//BD) Pred/Prey: Trapper 🍽 Dwight 5% Fic that was planned for my Devoured by Daylight series back when I was actively writing for it, taking place before Rather it be you. Had Doctor find and mindbreak Dwight outside of trials, and Trapper be either gifted to him by Doc or find and “rescue” him. Recently wrote a little more for it [read that here], but have no motivation to write any of the parts featuring the doctor, so unlikely to ever finish.

Rather it be you (D//BD) Pred/Prey: Trapper 🍽 Dwight Planning Was planned to be my final entry in Devoured by Daylight, lost interest in the fandom before I could start working on it. Been very tempted to give it another go, as I miss DBD being a muse of mine.

Extra Value Meal Deal (Pre//ssure) Pred/Prey: Sebastian 🍽 Expendable Started Idea that came to me while trying to sleep. Seb gives the Expendable an offer that seems too good to be true, and perhaps is. Tbh I've been anxious about writing this one due to the darker tone I'm aiming for (especially due to wanting to give writing digestion a try).

[untitled] (Min//ecr//aft) Pred/Prey: H//erobr//ine/Ne//ther Dragon 🍽 Steve Planning Based on an AU of mine where Hero became the vessel for the Ne//ther Dragon’s reincarnation. Would be angst with a happy/ambiguous ending (depending on how the plot flows while writing). Wanted to experiment into fandoms I barely write for, so that's why this exists.

Putrid Oxygen (SU//BNAU//TICA) Pred/Prey: Sea Dragon 🍽 Ryley Started Takes place in my Su//bnau//tica AU. Still stuck lol. Haven't progressed past that preview I showed.

Aaaaand because I have too many of these jumbling around in my brain... DJMM fics lightning round:

Mandated Break > Short mini-sequel to Poison Paradise where the same (janitor) reader falls asleep during their shift while cleaning the arcade. And DJ finds them and decides to give them a “break”. 

“And why aren't you in uniform?” [placeholder title] > Askbox suggestion. Reader is a new security hire and doesn't have their badge yet. Due to this, DJMM mistakes them as an intruder while his bouncer mode is active.

Arachnomechanitopia > Self indulgent birthday gift to myself that I've never managed to finish. Very focused on the fearplay and being hunted for sport.

Monster Bait > Askbox suggestion. Reader is used as “live bait" to catch the giant spider monster man. Wanted to experiment with multiple stomachs for this fic as well as the classic “tied to rope so they can be pulled out” trope.

[untitled] > Inspired by Help Wanted 2. DJMM gets cranky about you fucking up the DJ set and shoves you into his mouth.

Caught in the web red handed [placeholder title] > Askbox suggestion. DJ gets caught eating the reader and panics. Still deciding on who catches them and such but the concept won't stop scratching at my brain (positive).

Welp, I finally finished it. Shame a mental breakdown made me scrap this older draft at the time, but oh well, at least it's done now. It was actually alot more complete than I initially realized, just simply had to reread and write the scene that stitches the draft to the ending scene. Fixed some errors that I missed in the final draft of Hands off my prey, and made a few minor tweaks in place (same series of events, just slightly better phrasing in places). Unsure which of the two fics to make canon to the series tho. :/

Don't play with my food

Scrapped fic in the "Devoured by Daylight" series, taking place sometime after "Escaping Jaws" (or "Hands off my prey"), but started writing after "A Barbeque Buffet". Had the Doctor mind break Dwight, until Trapper found and saved him from doc by eating him. Ended up dropping it pretty early on.

Gently yet firmly, he grasped Dwight's chin, facing him and his eyes towards the mask. He didn’t even flinch, even when he made sure that he'd made eye contact with Dwight, there as still no reaction, only a buzzing emptiness behind his eyes.

“Damn it!” Evan snarled, pounding a fist into the ground. Of course Herman had to fuck around and break his prey. That bastard could never leave other's business alone, even if it got him killed.

Dwight's body went rigid as he suddenly let out a scream, before just as quickly returning to his vegetative state.

(…)

Dwight didn’t know where he was when he came to. His thoughts felt foggy, head spinning, and his whole body ached. The last thing he remembered was seeing the doctor approach him outside of a trial.

Shit, he must’ve been caught, especially with the way his head felt like it had been drowned in static.

(…)It was hot, humid, and cramped too.
