It's said that The Deity show his happiness by dancing, taking power on the body of specially selected person, known as "MALLI" (in regional language) Utterly Controlling him. His soul is no more his, His body is insensate to pain, now. All Mighty entering his soul, Making him Unconscious to pain. Directly connecting his soul to that of own. And his body, His body dances with joy as the soul of the Deity enters in it. Dancing like he's just reborn. Shouting, Running, Crawling on the ground. And sometimes on the burning coals. Feeling no pain. Thanking everyone, Bowing in front of them, Holding sword in his hand, Sharp and Faced inwards, And tip of the sword, it is touching his stomach. But he's feeling no pain. Instead, he's dancing with joy. Sometimes eating the weed leaves, Some times the burning coals And sometimes broken rocks too. Dancing with a sword in his hand, jumping in joy, letting his psyche replaced by that of the Holy Deity. Letting the holy Deity to take full control over him. Spreading the happiness, Spreading the joy, And a hope to his people, "Believe in me, tomorrow gonna be a bright day, something better than today" Just believe. - Dancing, they say, when done with the body and soul gets you a direct connection with the Almighty. A small glimpse of a thousand years old culture of Rohru area, where people have somehow managed to preserve their culture irrespective of how much this so called modern world has modernised.
