[[I think I finally figured out the deets of what happened to Devyn that made her have to up and run off to Kalos. She had this boyfriend right, for however long idk. But basically he was a real scumbag, involved in some gang shit, but he was a backstabber, and would trade different gangs' secrets away for cash or drugs or whatever he wanted at the time. One day he took a misstep and got in too deep, convinced Dev to take the fall for him. And I'm gonna say Elegy basically had to smack some sense back into her before she got her ass killed over this guy. So she up and left in the middle of the night without telling a soul to save her own skin. She doesn't know what's happened to the guy, and doesn't give a shit, because she's realized he was awful and the whole thing was going sour anyways.]]

[[SO. I think I've got some stuff figured out about Devyn here. She's from Johto, because she started as my Crystal nuzlocke character a long as time ago and that when nowhere in a hurry but now I'm just wingin' it for her background yee? So she's from Violet City...hence the Gengar. But she liked to wander off to Goldenrod a lot, and y'all know shit happens in big cities like that so, I'ma say she got mixed up in some nasty business and ended up shipping herself off to Kalos to get out of it. I have no specifics yet, just a rough outline so that's that. If you ask why she moved she'll always tell you that Johto was just too boring and backwoods-y for her, and say nothing more.

Another thing and I feel like I could totes get some shit for this but hhh is that her Gengar, Elegy, y'know, as a creature of shadows and trickery and shit, can shapeshift. The only thing he's really perfected is his human form. He doesn't speak much when in human form, but he will occasionally jack the holodash and talk to people, generally being a huge asshat.
