this was a last ditch effort to get the perfect fish to add to the soup. corina had a couple pokes in her fingers from catching and releasing so many fish, but she wasn't going to give up. with the summer soiree as her background, corina was on that dock and clocked in. she was getting the perfect fish!
danica was off to the side of the beach with her violin, trying to drown out the sounds of the festival goers. she needed to prepare for her first performance since the never-to-be-mentioned-again debacle. but she was feeling restless and needed to do something other than tune her violin. "ugh!" she let out an exasperated groan.
Was it just Maude, or was the recent influx of festivals a bit excessive? One or two a season she could tolerate, but now her mom was dragging her out of hibernation every other week. And this one was on Cordelia's domain no less? She slouched over her kebabs at the picnic table, trying her best to ignore everyone.
"Do you think this will be okay for the soup?" Emery extended the fresh spice berry to her neighbor for inspection. She blinked her bug eyes at them while she waited for their sign of approval (hopefully!). "I foraged it in the mountain, and i heard that it's a really tasty summer fruit. It's the only one I found, though, so I didn't get to taste it myself."
everyone get spiffy because the governor is in town for the annual summer soiree! for weeks, everyone in town does their part making sure the town sparkles for the governor's visit, and it all comes together at the beachside party with refreshments provided by the stardrop saloon, a few small booths with trinkets and souvenirs, and the music stylings of the dynamic duo danica and conrad!, the day's main event is the special community soup, to which everyone contributes their freshest ingredients to impress the governor. this event starts today, june 26 and ends sunday, july 7. please tag all open starters for the event as #dew.event004 and please dm the main what each of your characters contributed to the soup, so we can see if the governor liked it .if they did, then maybe we will get a special prize! please also stay tuned on discord for information about a possible discord event component to the summer soiree!
