(Not so) Nameless Ghoul Headcanons- Sodo/Dewdrop
Well I'm going to attempt to start writing again so I decided to start kind of small with headcanons. I’m going to create a separate post for each ghoul so be on the lookout for the others!
One of the older ghouls, the other being Aether, though he doesn't act like it most of the time.
He has the most energy out of all of them, Swiss not trailing by much. He's constantly moving at least one part of his body, bouncing his leg, tapping out a beat he likes, running his hand through his hair, he's always moving. Because of this he likes to keep himself busy.
Likes to play video games. Some of the other ghouls will play with him too. He likes horror games the most and HATES Mario Kart (mostly because he always loses) . He's willing to play a comfy game like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley with Rain if he asks.
Loves horror movies and always picks one when it’s his turn for movie night.
He’s very reserved with his emotions, defaulting to anger if its not an emotion he likes. That being said, he is very emotional but hides it from the others. He would rather go back to hell than let his pack mates see him cry. He tries to lock himself away when his emotions get the better of him but that isn’t always an option so the others will notice but don’t say anything for Sodo’s sake. Instead, they will try to subtly try to cheer him up by letting him choose dinner for the night or bringing him things he likes. Rain likes to bring him river rocks he finds. Sodo has a little collection of them in his room. Aether will let out a soothing scent to try to relax him.
With Sodo once being a water ghoul, he is still somewhat connected to the element. It’s part of the reason that he is close to Rain. Despite now being a fire ghoul, he loves snow. He will run and jump into a big pile if you let him, rolling around on the ground covering himself in the powder. The downfall to this is that his body is so warm, that when he starts jumping around in the snow, it starts to melt more, leaving him and his clothes soaked. When the others notice him shivering, they'll try to drag him inside but will be met with multiple snowballs to the face.
Even though he is the smallest of the ghouls, he's far from the weakest. He’s also very fast and he definitely uses that to his advantage.
He has tried to throw the couch in the common area of the den multiple times at Swiss.
He doesn't mind being the shortest ghoul but will get angry if you try to hold something over his head. Swiss has found that out multiple times when he received a kick to the stomach or been tackled to the ground by Sodo.
Very catlike. He can be found stretched over furniture or sitting on countertops daily.
He has scared members of the ministry by being perched in a corner of the ceiling and jumping down as they walk by.
He walks very quietly and has a habit of accidentally scaring people, although sometimes he does it on purpose.
He's very hard to scare. The other ghouls have tried and tried (especially Swiss) but none of them have been successful except for Mountain. He wasn't even trying to scare him but wanted to ask Sodo if he knew where some batteries were but when knocking on the door, it fell off the hinges and smacked the floor. Sodo just so happened to be taking a nap and jumped up, teeth bared, eyes wide in fear as the door hit the ground. Sodo gave Mountain all of his batteries with the promise that he wouldn’t tell the others what had happened.
Sodo’s scent can change depending on how he’s feeling. Most days he smells like a raging campfire. On his sad days, he smells like the ash and smoke of a smothered fire. When he’s relaxed or sleeping, the scent shifts to burnt sugar and caramel.
He’s surprisingly good at cooking but can’t bake anything to save his life. He’s tried several times to bake cookies but they always come out burnt beyond recognition. He still eats them though.
All ghouls like to be in their element and this is no different with Sodo. He has a collection of lighters and matches in the drawers of his desk. Aether has had to drag him out of the fireplace on several occasions for dinner. The fire doesn't hurt his skin, it's actually quite pleasant for him. Not for his clothes though. He has ruined several outfits by jumping into fires. Surprisingly his hair is never touched by the flames.
He gets nightmares somewhat regularly but not nearly as often if someone else is with him. Because of this he rarely sleeps alone, most of the time with Rain or Aether.
In the winter Sodo is the most sought after ghoul with cuddle piles being centered around him. Warming everyone else can get draining for him though so he has to make sure to take breaks and eat well so not to burn himself out.
