Going back home is the best idea, it seems taking the charm was harmless, so there's no rush. Wouldn't want the rest of the team to worry about you.
After a fairly time-consuming hike, Arc arrives back at their base, stopping for a second to catch their breath. As much as the Ampharos would like to stay and rest for a bit longer, something strange had come into play - and once something strange is discovered (rare though it is), Arc is never far behind. Finding no evidence that the rest of the team was currently at home, they prepared a small satchel and wrote a note, using a loose bit of Goodra goo to adhere the parchment to the cave wall.
Before truly heading out, the Ampharos called out for their teammates, hearing no response. This confirmed Arc’s thoughts - they’ll have to wait until this little mystery is wrapped up nicely before the team can enjoy a rare banquet, commemorating the discovery of an exciting oddity.Exiting the cave, Arc could see the sun was a little past mid-way through its usual cycle. Seems all that’s left is to start off.
>lick the goodra goo, you know, to make sure its really goodra goo
Ever since his recruitment, Gairym has proven himself as a major asset to the team. Perhaps most beneficial to the team was his idea to collect the goo that naturally falls off a Goodra’s body - of which he had plenty, much to his dismay - and experiment with it to bolster its adhesive properties. Searching around the mountains for a metal worker, he poured the final results into tins and distributed it amongst the team. It was quite strong - the techniques Gairym had pioneered had made the goo so adhesive that one could attach a rope to a rock face using only the compound, and provided no inclement weather rolled in, climb up and down safely (with a thick enough rope). However, the Goodra liked to make one thing clear - this is absolutely not safe for consumption, and should he find out that someone tried to eat it, he would publicly shame them through vicious wordplay and “vandalized” posters.
He can never know.
Wandering along the mountains one moonlit night, Arc found an odd shrine nestled on the edge of a previously unexplored peak. A small, strange charm, glowing bright as the sun, hung suspended from a string attached to the monument. Stranger symbols adorned the base and body of the shrine, one of which the charm embodied. Surely, an interesting find for the explorer.
Take the charm?

(I’ve been in a bit of an art block recently, but that’ll ideally turn around sometime soon! In the meantime, here’s a bit of a filler- Arc wearing the jacket @dailymarshtomp designed!)
The heck does the red thingy on ya head do?
“Oh, this? Good question!”
“I’m actually not too sure, if I’m being honest. I do know that it helps with using Power Gem!”
“…Also, sometimes it flashes! No idea why!”
