That feel when you run away from a DexNav chain without thinking and the world goes into slow motion as you realize in horror that you have forsaken your effort and it cannot be undone.
HeartBreak
Finally chained my shiny female ralts, but it killed itself during battle :( no words man no freakin words
shiny eevee after a chain of 21 the game is on my side today bless
So, I decided to chain for a shiny Ralts because.. well, Ralts. I didn't even care if it was male or female because why bother with it right?
Dexnaving last night, screwed up a few times. Got on a roll, had to go to sleep cause I was super tired. Woke up, did about.. four, five more? Stopped for a bit. Did it again just now.
Chain 80.
Three star. Disable first ability. Level 28. Naive nature (Speed up, Sp. Def. down) shiny male Ralts.
I'm totally good with this.
ive been dexnav chaining for a shiny vulpix for hours, my search level is 300, and im just... so done.
hey, I know just how you feel--it's frustrating and tedious, and sometimes you feel like it isn't worth it.
the thing with dexnav chaining is that it's different from dpp/xy chaining in that your odds don't go up the higher your search level gets. they do raise overall while you are chaining, but it's a static increase.
it's up to you whether you think it's worth it or not to hunt with the dexnav--while it is tedious, you can also get a lot of cool pokemon that way that you can't normally. as an alternative, you can also try masuda method!
all in all, the prime staple to hunting is patience, and knowing that the end result is incredibly rewarding and fulfilling. if it stresses you out or makes you unhappy, make sure you take breaks or even try different methods. no shiny pokemon is worth sacrificing your mental health!
((Thanks to a really super awesome guide on DexNav chaining (seriously, guys, check it out), I found out that the DexNav suddenly not locating the Pokemon you are chaining does NOT mean your chain is broken.
The chain continues as long as you only encounter rustling grass Pokemon, not necessarily just the Pokemon you are searching for. Just make sure you keep KOing or capturing the DexNav rustling grass mons, don't scare away any of said mons, don't leave the route, and don't get interrupted by a random encounter, and your chain doesn't break!
So yeah, I'm giving chaining a shiny Zigzagoon another go, and my chain hasn't broken yet. ovo ))
