“I’ve had a few girlfriends in my time, Dee,” Dean rolled his eyes. “Pretty sure I can handle some girl things. What? You’re period or somethin’? It’s normal.”
@dexnna from here
“Oh come on Deanna!”
“You guys are always telling me to go out and be a normal twenty-something-year-old and live a little. What do I gotta do to convince you?”

“You never were expendable.”
a good pet is only worth the distance her leash might stretch.
“That is very deep.” he said as he glanced up from the morning newspaper and squinted. “Are we talking about a puppy, or are we having one of those deep meaningful conversations that I am unaware I am apart of, until I have said something wrong ?” he tread carefully. The paper was folded and placed away from him so he could focus on the hunter. “Is something wrong ?” he inquired.@dexnna
“Hey, I’m proud of you. You did great.”
he was shaking from head to toe. he hadn’t even been cleaned up yet. he was covered in dirt and blood—not all of it was his, either. “great?” he asks, a brow raising. “i did GREAT?” he can’t believe it. he can’t believe this. he won the hunger games. he was a VICTOR now. he MADE IT OUT ALIVE.
——so why does he feel so dead inside?
@dexnna
“What’s alternate universe you doing right now?”
“alternate universe me?” he asks with a chuckle, looking up in thought. “hopefully he’s eating a big christmas dinner with his family all around—dad included… sitting there with his girlfriend, deanna,” he smiles. “having the time of his life. what about alternate universe you?”
@dexnna
“They’ll name constellations after you one day.”
“yeah?” he asks, turning on his side to look at her. the moonlight spilled into the room through the crack in the curtains and he’s never seen a more beautiful sight. the way she looks in the light is mesmerizing. “i think it’d be more accurate to say they’ll name them after you.”
