I’m late on doing a roundup for 2017, but oh well. I used to do these end-of-the-year summaries on LJ, and I enjoy looking back at them.

After barely writing since 2013, I wrote 26 fics. There are 22 listed here, 4 I haven’t posted to AO3 yet. (I’m really bad about that, too.) I wrote for four new fandoms, which is a huge deal for me; I used to be a very one fandom writer.
A year ago I never would have imagined I’d be writing for Hannibal, but here I am, in love with my first het pairing in 5+ years. #BedannibalForLife! In 2017, I also started work on the longest fic of my life, for my other favorite pairing, Bedeliyoh. The corner of the Hannibal fandom I’m in is excellent, and I hope to be more social with everyone this year. I have a tendency to turtle up when life gets messy, but I do feel like I’ve found my people so ... yeah. Gonna work on that.
I did Camp Nano twice and won NaNo for my first time ever, in a decade plus of trying. 2017 sucked in a lot of aspects, but I made a lot of words after years of having no inspiration and making zero. I’m super proud of some of the stories I’ve written this year, which is a first—usually it takes me a few years before I like something I wrote.
Two things: I once thought I’d never be able to write Bedelia because lbr, she is hard, and I like drabbles, a lot.
