DEFINITION ⦂⠀A person that someone may feel urged to defend, often to help them to communicate more effectively. This may be done to preserve the DfdP's reputation, or one's own by association.

This is non-exclusive, and I assume there is a large range of conditions that may feel best accompanied by a DfdP. Some may include ASD, CD, cluster Bs, those with a high sense of in/justice or protectivity, et cetera.
