Diamond Wins 2 Awards at the Downtown Film Festival LA Premiere
DFFLA was very good to us! I was excited for Diamond to be part of the festival and to have a 'home town' screening in one of my favorite Los Angeles theaters, the Downtown Independent. The screening was great - Diamond looked beautiful, sounded amazing, the Q&A led by Programmer Tony Smith was really fun, and the audience reaction was amazing. We screened back to back with our own Brian McGuire's world premiere of his newest film in the director's chair, Prevertere, which went on to win Best Narrative Feature. And we got a great write up on Opening Ceremony! What could be better?
I'm excited to announce that Diamond on Vinyl took home two awards at DFFLA: Best Ensemble Performance and Best Director. It's an overwhelming honor, and we are all incredibly thankful to the Programmers, Jury, and audience at the Downtown Film Festival. It's an experience we'll never forget.
