The Desert Flower Resort Motel looked as old and dusty as the sand it rested on, but was a welcome sight. Hours of ceaseless trudging through desert had revealed no highway or road or civilization of any kind, until under the bright moonlight, a small building crowned with neon words revealed itself, nestled against the base of a sand dune. The tall sign to the right promised vacancy, protection from the eccentricities of the desert, and color t.v.
