these are the most important panels (plot-wise) of dgm chapter 236

let’s dissect them.

apo is addressing the “millennium earl” the whole time. not mana.

aka, when he states that two people are bound by karma, he must mean the millennium earl + the heart (assuming, for now, that he is not referring to allen himself) and not mana + nea.

this essentially confirms that either nea, mana, or allen must be the wielder of the heart...

personally, i think it’s mana, primarily because apo says that after the millennium earl is destroyed, then the heart wielder will be revived. that implies that destroying the millennium earl will free mana (the heart wielder) from his shackles. plus, mana is just...way more pure and kind than nea, so i feel that he would be the more archetypal heart wielder.

......on the other hand, it may certainly be nea. since we’re waiting on him to be revived out of allen and all. but, and this is a big but, nea is revived in present day while the millennium earl lives on.....so i guess, assuming that nea is the heart - either apo is wrong or the earl is gonna die very very soon.

it’s probably not allen because it makes less sense contextually. but never say never in dgm

i think it’s notable that apo says that the “child” would destroy the earl, which, by my standards, doesn’t refer to nea but actually refers to allen himself. that sort of implies that allen, not nea, will destroy the earl. which would be satisfying as heck

why.....when it took allen 8-ish more years to even notice nea, much less fully awaken into a noah...... why is he dreaming about the meadow???

i’m not totally sure on that one, but it was probably just his tumultuous emotions as a child (being abandoned, abused, an amnesiac, etc) making him more susceptible to the memories. after all, the noah wins over the human when they lose control of their emotions.....

that means that by taking in allen, the earl, advertently or inadvertently, suppressed the awakening of his fated destroyer (nea). for a looong time. we sort of already knew that with “mana’s mask”, but thought the additional evidence was interesting!

on a side note....

THAT IS THE MOST ADORABLE THING. (++I hope cross’s backstory, particularly why he was monitoring mana, comes to light soon!)
