I heard my precious boy, Lavi Bookman Jr., was back... i had to reread D Gray Man
Bookman Junior
How past!Lavi perceived himself:
vs how he was perceived by everyone around him:
Now, excuse me while I go scream into the void.
i miss him dearly
with my drawing motivation back, i took a detour to doodle one of my longest running hyperfixations <333

i desperately need him to be okay ;-;
Dgm doomed siblings are crazy like imagine you have a little brother. A little brother who is both blessed and cursed to bear the brunt of inheriting all the world's secrets. You watch him grow up ostracised. It gets better once he leaves. You worry about him regardless. You give him a staff that matches yours. He seems happier than he was growing up. And then he cuts ties with the clan and disappears to chase after the undying soul of some guy he's sworn his life to. You wait and wait as the years turn into decades. You know he's dead. You don't know how it happened. And then you're made to care for the boy who's both your brother's successor and the the living proof of him being dead. And yet, you cannot save this boy either. He's your brother's successor and you can do little but watch him toil away under a curse you cannot lift, hoping help will arrive in time. Hoping you won't have to bury your brother a second time. And then help does arrive. And he looks exactly like your dead little brother.
One day we will be nothing but remains found in history…
