"Absolutely no one comes to save us but us."

[THREADS] HOSHINO KATSURA'S THREADS POST (21/04/2026)

Since we were born as twins, it’s always been natural for us to say “happy birthday” to each other on the day. But if I had to pick the most memorable one, it would be our 20th birthday. The moment I said “Happy birthday, we are twenty!” I got smacked right across the face by Yuu-chan.
Apparently, she really didn’t want to hear the word “twenty.” Yuu-chan was unable to accept the end of our teenage years.
Happy birthday, Hoshino sensei !!!
The true reason why Hoshino is (probably) about to kill Kanda off before he's twenty.
Sometimes in a professional setting you’ll come across someone in their 60s who just cannot open a PDF in their email. And the thing is. They’re lowkey not old enough to be acting like that. You guys were in your early 30s at the latest when email took off. You’ve actually been doing this for longer than I have. Get real and click on the damn attachment.

Gorgeous horses are like the basic requirement of any Arakawa Hiromu works.
I wonder what happened to the horse after Yuru left the village - I hope she's thoroughly enjoying her life back on the mountains.
Ok but why the hell does Danji have a shadow.

COVID-19 mention in the anime!!
maybe its about a demon seeing the power of human growth and putting everything in the line for a group of people he was meant to torture
maybe its about the most indecisive person making the same choice over and over again more than 600 times
maybe its about seeing someone starting off so selfish repeatedly sacrificing everything for her friends
maybe its about weather people are trying to be better today than they were yesterday
maybe its about how nothing matters so everything has to
maybe its about what we owe to each other
maybe its about water on a wave
maybe its about the dot above the i
I wonder how young Asuma was when Iori died:
If Gonzo married Akane so that Hikaru and Asuma would have a mother around (which is... not the best reason to marry someone, and I sincerely hope that it wasn't Gonzo's only one), then both brothers must've been fairly young to have needed one. Also, Jin was only born after Iori died, and I just don't think that Asuma and Jin have that big of an age gap between them: maybe 8-10 years max.
Not to mention, there's this panel as well though it isn't canonically confirmed to have happened after Iori's death:
Think about it. Asuma was around seven or so when he last saw his mother. He spent most of his life trying to avenge her, but do you think he even remembers her voice by now? He loved her with everything he had, but do think he has to look at photos to memorize her smile because he'll forget it otherwise? Do you?
Not only that, Asuma was the one who inherited Asagiri and Yozakura from her, the only two beings in the world that would have stopped at nothing to keep her alive - the guilt he must feel from that is insane, actually.
I really love how when a younger Asuma shows up in the flashback, being his mother's son that he is, he has slightly wavy hair just like Iori when its length is a little longer:
The waviness of Iori's hair is more prominent given its length, but Asuma's lil bangs also end in waves if you squint!
And their hair also looks identical when slicked back as well! (If you're ignoring Asuma's male pattern baldness curse, that is. I definitely am.)
They're. So. Cute.

you gotta read poetry. even if it's just a little bit. 'cause sometimes you'll be struggling with withdrawl and feeling angry at yourself and guilty and upset for no god damn reason and you'll be reaching for the words to express that and deal with that and something will just smack you over the head like "Many and sharp the numerous ills inwoven in our frame; More pointed still we make ourselves, regret, remorse, and shame" and you're just like... fuck man, yeah, I am just sharpening my own ills through my self hatred. and I'm not the only one who does this, 'cause robby burns wrote that like 250 years ago. everyone's sharpening their ills dipshit, knock it off. and then you go on with your day.
it's "Man Was Made to Mourn", for anyone curious.
--
Man Was Made to Mourn - Robert Burns
When chill November's surly blast Made fields and forests bare, One ev'ning, as I wander'd forth Along the banks of Ayr, I spied a man, whose aged step Seem'd weary, worn with care; His face was furrow'd o'er with years, And hoary was his hair.
"Young stranger, whither wand'rest thou?" Began the rev'rend sage; "Does thirst of wealth thy step constrain, Or youthful pleasure's rage? Or haply, prest with cares and woes, Too soon thou hast began To wander forth, with me to mourn The miseries of man.
"The sun that overhangs yon moors, Out-spreading far and wide, Where hundreds labour to support A haughty lordling's pride; - I've seen yon weary winter-sun Twice forty times return; And ev'ry time has added proofs, That man was made to mourn.
"O man! while in thy early years, How prodigal of time! Mis-spending all thy precious hours- Thy glorious, youthful prime! Alternate follies take the sway; Licentious passions burn; Which tenfold force gives Nature's law. That man was made to mourn.
"Look not alone on youthful prime, Or manhood's active might; Man then is useful to his kind, Supported in his right: But see him on the edge of life, With cares and sorrows worn; Then Age and Want - oh! ill-match'd pair - Shew man was made to mourn.
"A few seem favourites of fate, In pleasure's lap carest; Yet, think not all the rich and great Are likewise truly blest: But oh! what crowds in ev'ry land, All wretched and forlorn, Thro' weary life this lesson learn, That man was made to mourn.
"Many and sharp the num'rous ills Inwoven with our frame! More pointed still we make ourselves, Regret, remorse, and shame! And man, whose heav'n-erected face The smiles of love adorn, - Man's inhumanity to man Makes countless thousands mourn!
"See yonder poor, o'erlabour'd wight, So abject, mean, and vile, Who begs a brother of the earth To give him leave to toil; And see his lordly fellow-worm The poor petition spurn, Unmindful, tho' a weeping wife And helpless offspring mourn.
"If I'm design'd yon lordling's slave, By Nature's law design'd, Why was an independent wish E'er planted in my mind? If not, why am I subject to His cruelty, or scorn? Or why has man the will and pow'r To make his fellow mourn?
"Yet, let not this too much, my son, Disturb thy youthful breast: This partial view of human-kind Is surely not the last! The poor, oppressed, honest man Had never, sure, been born, Had there not been some recompense To comfort those that mourn!
"O Death! the poor man's dearest friend, The kindest and the best! Welcome the hour my aged limbs Are laid with thee at rest! The great, the wealthy fear thy blow From pomp and pleasure torn; But, oh! a blest relief for those That weary-laden mourn!"

somehow i didn't consider this before, but now that we know why allen's hair is white, it's even more interesting that it's so completely permanent. is it the method lavi sr used (helix energy or whatever) that determined this side effect, or was lavi sr's hair also like this and it carried over?
