exposure and response prevention by chinuplargepup - outsiders '03. dick conditions roy to have a gun kink in an effort to help him work through his recent fear of guns. hot and uncomfortable in the best way. roy/dick, e, trans dg, gun kink

ruinous by aconitemare - bruce's jealousy over dick's utilitarian flirting with a bad guy drives him to finally fuck dick, but his anger turns things less than consensual. fantastic dialogue and i love how bruce is written here—the constant ping-ponging of blame in his mind between himself (for hurting dick) and dick (for letting bruce hurt him) is so juicy. a new fave for me. bruce/dick, e, con to noncon, rough/painful sex

a little play pretend by eriord - tim walks in on a consensual drugging scene between bruce and dick. really fun and evil bruce and tim dynamic here where jack has been disappointing tim and it primes tim to be more willing to obey bruce for approval. bruce/dick, bruce/tim/dick, e, con to noncon, dollification/doll play, drugging, crossdressing

unraveled by starskies - tim helps dick through a distressed heat. i love when tim/dick is sweet, weird, brotherly, and clearly written by someone who has read the comics; this is all of the above! the background mysterious nature of babs & dick's relationship is so fun too and makes this feel even more like it jumped out of late 00s comics. tim/dick, e, past slade/dick, past babs/dick, omegaverse, past noncon/bitching

trying something where i make a rec list of recently posted (or updated) dg-related fics every so often. not sure what kind of schedule this will be on, for now expect it every week or two!

eclipse plumage by quickmanifyouloveme - dick has just given birth to bruce's baby; bruce goes too far being protective of them both. i have recommended the first fic in this series (fledgling) a million times by now and i do recommend reading this with the context of the rest of the series (because it makes it even more miserable!!), but it's still a great read as a standalone. bruce/dick, T, domestic abuse, postpartum depression

slow collison by anon - dick finds out that roy's been taking bruce's money to fund the outsiders. roy's background awareness of bruce having abused dick and his shame at taking bruce's money anyway is so juicy combined with roydick actively having sex throughout, and i love the references to bruce's insistent financial control. roy/dick, past bruce/dick, E, past csa

housebroken by suddenlysullen - slade falls into a vat of aphrodisiacs. hot, nice dg characterization details, the precum kink and hints of puppy play are very fun. slade/dick, E

ground control by htmlerror - midnighter recovers after a gory alien encounter. great characterization, intense, one of my favorite takes on their relationship dynamic, and just a really delightful read overall. if you've ever been interested in midpollo after seeing them in dc comics, give this a shot, it really captures a lot of what makes them great in wildstorm canon. apollo/midnighter, E, gore, injury recovery

if you're up for it, can you recommend any fics where dick grayson's snuff kink is like. active. i may not have looked hard enough but i can't find any where he's not topping :/ i figured if anyone knows it's you. love your blog, and you detailed dick's thirst for death beautifully in that one post you made. thank you!

yes!! this seems tragically to not be a thing many people are super into but there are definitely fics with this flavor! i usually find them by searching for gun kink, asphyxiation, etc rather than by any tag specifically related to snuff. i am kind of passionately anti-dark-dick-grayson so i usually filter out that tag + top dick grayson when searching for stuff like this, which helps a lot

also that post felt like THE most self indulgent thing imaginable when i wrote it so i'm really happy you liked it!! i feel like i brought my favorite but weirdest toy to the sandbox and the other kids unexpectedly liked it too lmao <3

a memorable send-off by skalidra - slade/dick, consent issues, dick fully believes slade is about to kill him and gets off on the imminent threat

the nightwing protocol by purplesoot - slade/dick, a very long but extremely worthwhile read with a strong throughline of dick romanticizing the idea of slade killing him, treating it as an intimate act, etc

due process by missnaya - roman/dick, mob/dick, peril (dick is less into the threat of death here than he is into being raped via threat of death, but it's a really hot fic so i'm including it)

unblinded by cadkitten - slade/dick, asphyxiation, dick getting off on how easily slade could kill him and deliberately not tapping out as quickly as he should

want you bad by anonyme_caro - mob boss bruce wayne tries to keep selina's ward dick at arm's length. it doesn't work. juicy prequel to what sounds like it'll be a longer mob au, lots of drama, definitely has me excited for the rest. bruce/dick, roy/dick, roman/dick, M, dark setting

taking one for the team by mumble_bee - in a world where every pack must legally have an omega, dick agrees to undergo medical omegatization to ensure no one else in the family has to. this is a nasty, uncomfortable, fun, sexy, weird omegaverse whump fic that i read updates for literally the instant i get a notification for them. currently 8/10 chapters and wildly miserable for dick, yay! wip, everyone/dick, slade/dick, E, noncon, medical abuse, graphic castration

well-versed by mandorlas - bruce takes care of dick in the aftermath of an injury. fantastic eerie little darkfic by an anon whose work i really like YAYY they unanoned world is beautiful! bruce/dick, E, noncon, drugging, medical kink

sleeping arrangements by anonymous - dick sneaks into bed with bruce. the writer jokes that this has been done a million times but it's so so soooo good when it's done well, and this is done well! great characterization, i love their kid dg voice, and bruce's guilt as he tries so hard to be appropriate and normal is delicious. bruce/dick, T, suggested potential/future csa

and a throwback recommendation:

careful by cobijita_cauchemar - part of dick's job as robin is to manage bruce's emotions; things get out of hand when dick initiates sex in the batmobile in an effort to calm bruce. love this character writing, i'm always obsessed with dick managing bruce's moods and wellbeing for him in a reversal of normal adult-child dynamics and then adding what is obviously (to the reader, not to dick) csa to that is so fun and evil. dick's yearning for bruce's attention and approval is so palpable it hurts. bruce/dick, E, trans dg, csa, con to noncon, violent sex
