Madhya Pradesh: Dinosaurs' Nesting Sites Discovered

Few researchers have claimed that they have discovered two nesting sites of the dinosaurs in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district.
Informing about their discovery, the researchers have said that the nesting sites were found in Dhar which is about 125kms away from Indore, adding that the nests got buried and covered by rocks during the geographical turmoil, happened around 6.5 crore years ago.
Geologist Vishal Verma, Head of Mangal Panchayatan Parishad, has informed about the discovery.
Verma also showed some anxiousness by saying, “A detailed study at these places could also provide information about the method of laying of eggs by dinosaurs. This could also throw light on whether the dinosaurs used the same place again and again to lay eggs.”
Informing about the eggs, they have found in Dhar, Verma said, “The fossilised eggs belong to the ‘Sauropod family’ of this extinct animal.”
He also said, the study shows that about 20 to 30 feet tall dinosaurs used to come from far off places to lay eggs in sandy areas here.
