Affirmation This day shall be the best day of my life. Today I will start with a new determination to dedicate my devotion forever at the feet of omnipresence. Keep Your Mind in the Present With God - The Most Precious Moment of Your Life is Right Now Just as dwelling on the past can lead to moods, so can daydreaming about the future. Of course it is good to set your mind on noble goals and to plan in a constructive, positive way for your future, but remember that the most precious moment of your life is right now. Keep your mind in the present with God. Take constructive action to change your situation if necessary; but as long as you have to do something, you might as well enjoy it. If you are fulfilling your responsibilities to the best of your ability, while at the same time practicing the presence of God, then you are growing and creating the right atmosphere for inner happiness. Live now. You cannot do anything about the past; so there is no need to feel envious, guilty, or moody about it. And, as Master says, the future will take care of itself if you live well today. The only point you can do something about is the present. If you are doing your best, and your thoughts are on God now, then everything is all right. And if you are feeling negative or angry or moody, there is no better moment to change that consciousness than right now. -Brother Dharmananda, SRF Magazine Fall 2016, p 44; Affirmation, Metaphysical Meditations, p 13.
