Being overly tired is actually a leading cause of poor sleep. I know it's counterintuitive but it very may well be the issue.
This is so true! The thing is, I hadn’t hit my wall yet where that tends to happen. With my job and lifestyle (firefighter / student) I’m good to stay up for a few days at a time without even batting an eye, as y’all know and have seen :) I rarely get any sleep as it is and just tend to go with the flow and trust my body that when it says “Sleep!” I sleep!
That’s what was so weird about last night. I didn’t feel overly tired, or even exhausted, I felt a good, normal, safe, sleepy along with a bit of mental/emotional exhaustion from the worry/stress of the surgery, and of course the constant never ending stream of pain. Pain from my foot, the hernia, the torn abs, the lungs, and the eye.. but even the foot pain wasn’t too bad and the others are my constant which hasn’t stopped me from sleeping since the whole mess started.
It really should have been a simple thing. Lay down, cat tucks himself under my arm, head hits the pillow... out.
Instead it was head hits the pillow... thinking about random nonstressfull stuff, drifting off, sorta dreaming, up to pee. Back down, sorta dreaming the same dream, back to pee 2 hrs later. Back down, sorta dreaming, sorta awake, listening to the fans in the room, never falling asleep.
It was weird. We’ll see. I laid down at just after 130am and gave up at 9am. Tomorrow I’m just going to stay in bed. Might just be stress.

Thank you SO much! xo

Back pain is evil. Take care of yourself silly. And maybe get a walking partner?
I’d love one! But my schedule is so messed up with taking care of the cat, working full time, going to school full time, and taking care of dad. Somedays I’m walking at 5am, some days I’m walking at 10pm, it’s all over the map. It’s basically whenever I sit down and realize that no one is screaming for me to do something that I go “Oh shit! I’m free” and book it out the door lol. Today I left around 930am cause the cat was asleep on the monitor and dad was asleep in his chair lol
Happy Birthday 🎂 I hope you have a lovely day and a fantastic New Year! Eat all the cake😙
