A headcanon I really enjoy is that Volo hugs his Togekiss when he is overwhelmed. I imagine Togekiss also wants him to feel better and comforts him, the pokedex entries for it mention that it shares happiness with its trainer. Emotional support bird.
Can't wait for my conservative coworkers' heads to spin all the way around when they see my massive armpit bushes and hairy legs at the upcoming office pool party lmao. If anyone is curious why I headcanon Volo as Ainu.
I have seen a lot of Japanese artists draw him (and Cynthia) in Ainu clothing and I remember when PLA came out an Ainu artist on twitter explained why the Celestica people are inspired by the Ainu people and I agree with what they said.
I don't mind if other people have different headcanons for him. Just keep in mind my Volo is Ainu so I request to not make white boy jokes about him to me. I see them a lot here.

He is afraid of bee pokemon, not all bug pokemon, just the ones that look like bees and wasps.
My reasoning is because he was acting pretty nervous about the alpha Vespiquen even if he could defeat it without the player's help.
A headcanon I had for Volo since 2022 is that he is mostly blind from his left eye. I imagine he can see but it's only blurry colours and it bothers him when he tries to focus from that eye, so he prefers to hide it with his bangs. It probably is also more sensitive.
