Ignoring the fact that I have my drawing exam on Monday and still barely even started with my second drawing. But the first one is finished at least.

My humble contribution to @pseudonymphomania's DiaLuci week. 😌✨ Have dialuci chickens, holding hands as they swing. Some blue roses and vines decorate their little perch, and of course an apple for a little snack and promise of love. Unconventional affection between an angel chicken and a demon chicken 😌💕

Crochet talk under cut, for anyone interested in patterns used and my process!

I used the base pattern from this YouTube video to inspire the chicken-on-swing, but modified the patterns a bit to make a Slightly Bigger Chicken and also a long swing. The little head crest/hair was inspired by this pattern, and I was inspired by one specific part of this video for their little tail feathers.

To stabilize the swing, I had the idea to bend paper clips straight and weave them into the base of the swing, then I sewed a single crochet chain over top to hide the metal away.

The roses were sort of inspired by patterns from here and here, but I also just winged it to make them the size and shape I wanted. And the vine was fully just me having a vision and going for it with blind hope and trust.
