A pear-shaped rare 18.18-Carat Pink Diamond flanked by two smaller diamonds was auctioned off at a Christie’s sale of rare jewels in Geneva, Switzerland. The listing read, "While most pink diamonds exhibit a colour modifier like purple, orange, brown or grey, this pink diamond shows absolutely no trace of secondary colour, making it exceedingly rare and attractive," The sparkling gem, called the Fortune Pink Diamond mined in Brazil is amongst the rarest diamonds and is also one of the largest pink diamonds ever put up on the auction block. The diamond sold for 28.4 million Swiss francs ($28.8 million / Rs 234.2 Cr) to a private Asian customer. In 2017, CTF Pink Star, a flawless, 59.60-carat diamond, was sold in Hong Kong for $71.2 million.
