If Diana didn't become a doctor, what would she be?

Ohhh I can see her being a teacher! She's good with children and often used to tutor juniors when she was at Uni, so if not a doctor then she'd definitely follow her parents' footsteps and be a teacher.

Yes, provided that they know that their job would always be very important to E and D and are understanding of their profession and how demanding it can be

If your MC turned into an animal for 24 hours what would they turn into? Ethan too!

Ohh Diana would definitely turn into a cat, she would joke that it's so that she can nap all day and lay in the patch of sun, but i think it's suitable because cats are really lovable but they also are very fixated on their goal and (all of my cat's atleast) they protect their loved ones very fiercely from any kind of threat.

In case of Ethan, I'd say a German Shepherd purely based on the vibes but also because I find them dignified and beautiful (just like a certain grumpy doctor we know)

Her copy of Ethan's Diagnostic Principles and any book that she's currently reading

A Stethoscope, with her initials engraved on it, that Ethan gifted her after she passed her boards.

Darjeeling Tea, that she brings from home every time she visits India (if Ethan is a coffee snob, Diana is a tea snob)

The painting that Evelyn (the painter who had lost her vision) gave her in Book 2, it always serves as a reminder that with enough will you can do anything.

Her wedding and engagement rings.

Suppose someone is rude to Ethan or threatens him with something. What would your MC do? Would they risk it with violence or would they try to calmly diffuse the situation? Or is it a mix of both?

So Diana isn't the kind of person to raise her voice in any kind of situation and I think that this situation would be any different. The only time she ever resorted to physical violence was when she punched Declan Nash and that would also probably be the last time ever. When she is being hostile to someone because they've been rude and/or threatening towards Ethan, she gets deceptively calm, with her voice going down several octaves, and to anyone who has seen her normally, this can be a pretty scary scenario. It's always her words that people fear the most.

If someone is being rude, she won't be the one trying to diffuse the situation, she is usually the one, making the other fear their life and apologizing to whoever they've offended (Ethan in this case).

Honestly, it's pretty self explanatory. It's difficult being a woman of color in a world which believes only white men to be capable of great things, but I can break down the lyrics if you want to read that.

When Diana was appointed as the Head of Diagnostics right after she completed her residency, there were lots of questions, despite the fact that by then she had lots of exemplary diagnoses in her record.

When everyone believes ya what's that like?

Remember when no one believed that it wasn't her who tampered with the research Bloom wanted to conduct and that it was in fact Ethan's idea? No one would have believed her unless Ethan had taken accountability.

They'd say I hustled / Put in the work / They wouldn't shake their heads and question how much of this I deserve

Her rise from an Intern to a Junior Fellow at the Country's leading Diagnostic Team to the head of said team was met with a lot of questions, mostly from men and there have been times she had questioned if she would have faced the same challenges if she was a man. Would they then accuse her of being undeserving? Or sleeping her way to the top?
