“Look at you!” It’s not something she would expect from the other vampire, not normally anyways. But if Dianna was anything, it was a good sport about the holiday season. There’s something extra elaborate about the look, a particular twinkle to Dianna’s eye and for just a moment, Elmira wonders if she should ask if something is going on to put the other woman in such high spirits. Dismissing the thought, she beams at her old friend and nods to all the people around them. The second floor isn’t where she intends to stay for the evening, she feels too visible, but she does want to at least make an appearance and mingle with their kind for a while. “I’m so glad everyone was invited this year, I’ve been coming since I moved to Rome and I’ve never seen it quite so lively.”

“Here, try this one.” It’s new, the idea of bringing someone around who isn’t actually part of her entourage, someone who isn’t her assistant, to sample the various blood infused wines, but Amala thinks she needs new. She needs new and exciting, she might even need soft and clever and a smile that’s comparable to sunshine. Amala hands Dianna a small glass of something that’s labeled as mulled and red and that’s somewhat of a staple for the season and so she’s been sent many. “I figure a few of each for everyone to choose from is fair.” Normally she does the taste testing herself and it’s a boring affair done in rapid fire succession and she sits and scrutinizes everything. But there with Dianna, who she has deemed her unofficial party planning companion, she sits on one of her many pillows in one of the side rooms of the palace and feels somewhat at ease, finds herself actually enjoying the multitude of beverages before her.

“So I don’t quite know how to deal with a thing I learned the other day.” A bar was different than a late night diner date to talk about current events and whatever else came to mind, but this was another baby step. Besides, who was he gonna push his tolerance buttons with other than his sire? Nothing was safer, as far as he was concerned. And Warren was concerned, he was really concerned. So far in his ‘baby vampire’ life, he had been fortunate enough not to be super involved with any other supernatural. Except shifters, and a couple of hunters. It probably discredited her, but he saw Calypso as a cop first and hunter second. Or maybe he could have ignored that part in general with how in denial he was about everything. Learning about Ramsey had come about when he was kind of sort of trying to accept things. It made everything...A bit different. Looking at Dianna, drink in hand, he gave a slight nod of his head as if he were trying to confirm all this to himself. “Found out a friend of mine is a hunter, or like was? Kind of seems to be a blurry line. She’s an artist now, but like, she used to do it. And you know me, I’ve never told her what I am. So it’s been an interesting week.” @dicnnamceve
