I know not many of my mutuals are science folk, but I wanted to post about this because it's made me so happy. Dianna Cowern, aka Physics Girl, has just posted her first youtube physics video in three years. She has long covid, mcas, and me/cfs and has had a hellish few years since she got covid. She's been confined to bed, barely able to move, think or talk, having life-threatening health crises, and for a couple of years it looked like there would be no improvement in her situation. But over the last year or so she's begun a long, slow journey of recovery.
A couple of days ago she posted a short video about neutrinos whilst in bed (she still has to rest a lot of the time) and it's such a joy to see her talking about physics - something she clearly loves - when for so long it seemed like that would never again be possible.
