I don’t feel like making a huge post about it right now since it would require me to write and compile images and I just screamed about it at my friends BUT…

If you’re a fan of Black Butler I recommend you check out 《玷染》 (Dianran) aka Taint 👀

And yeah okay I know the English name is a little awkward considering what “taint” means in English slang, but tbh…considering how horny this manhua is, it’s actually a pretty fitting name. 😂

But yes here’s why:

^ …Yeah I could just leave it at “read it for the hot characters” but actually I will add some more context below hahahaha:

It’s got demons, tentacles, sexualization of the church, mysteries involving dark/demonic entities in a European-inspired setting, and a bit of (not a lot just yet but still seems to be gearing up for more!) commentary on the gaps between classes.

We’ve also gotten a few clues to both main characters’ pasts, and they seemingly involve torture, experimentation, demons, deaths, amnesia, and more suffering.

It’s actually really interesting given we’re still early on in the story and we’ve gotten a few big crumbs so far, but they are still crumbs. I’m quite curious as to how all the parts of the backstory revealed so far tie together and led to our protagonists meeting the way they did today. 👀

Also the demon, Cross or Kurose, who has tentacles and is super attached to Eli, a member of the church, is very flirtatious and touchy-feely and even gets tortured and leashed and muzzled…

So you know. If you’re into that stuff, this manhua has a lot of it, even with censorship being in place. I’m genuinely surprised by how much it got away with; like in the most recent chapter (chapter 13 as of the time I’m writing this post), Cross rips off Eli’s underwear. 😂

I hope some people join me in this fandom eventually LGNSKFJSKS. So far it feels like I’ve been bursting to get my friends to read it and share it but I don’t want to be annoying to them haha.

Like if you enjoy Black Butler and I Have to Be a Great Villain and Kiss the Abyss and series like those, this could be up your alley!!

(Of course, do be aware that like those series, this one also contains “dark” content! Specifically violence with blood and all that, some less than consensual sexually tense encounters, and even body horror!)

Although I will say that hell, Cross isn’t that “toxic” or “violently possessive” of a love interest so far. He’s just clearly got his own goals which occasionally clashes with Eli’s, but it’s clear he really really likes Eli and doesn’t actually want him to come to harm, to the point of protecting him. And even when Eli is harsh with him in his distrust, Cross doesn’t mind. It makes for a fun dynamic. 👀

It was official. Andvari had been caught.

However, that didn’t mean that the prince wouldn’t try and at least attempt to play innocent, if anything out of curiosity to see if it would actually work. With someone like Genji though; he doubted it.

“Look! I’m innocent! I didn’t steal your sake, I swear! Come on! Is this the face of someone that would do that to you?” Vari frowned, widening his eyes to give himself the best wounded puppy look he could muster.

“We’ve been friends basically all our lives and yet here you are thinking I would do something so shameful?! Tsk, you’re the one who should be ashamed.” 

Just as he was raising his arm to shake a disapproving finger a Genji, the movement caused the small bottle of the very sake he had been accused of stealing to shift from the safety of his folded robe and fall onto the ground below with a clatter, thankfully not shattering to pieces in the process. Vari might as well have signed his death warrant if that had happened.

The prince stood steadfast, staring at the bottle now lying still on the ground before he looked up at Genji with a wide grin. “Look! I found your sake! Lucky I was here, right? You’re welcome! Anyways, as always, it’s been great catching up. See ya in a few weeks!”, Vari quickly uttered out before turning on his heel to leave.

@dianran​ asked : the mask covering his face fell freely to the ground, a dark smirk lifting his lips as his eyes burned bright red. blood dripped from his blade, as the bodies of the dead surrounded him. fire had surrounded him, the destruction left by his dragon as he called upon it to kill by the thousands. he stepped forward, a gun within his other hand at he lifted it into the air. ❝bang.❞ he teased, the darkness surrounding him before he shot behind him twice, hitting both of his parents.

𝐈 𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐀 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑.

                    there was no other reality. this was the little boy he had sworn to PROTECT, the boy that he had always called his despite the lack of blood that they shared. they had trained together, played together, laughed together ... all of it was GONE. in genji’s eyes, jesse could see a darkness that he knew far too well ― one that encompassed anything and EVERYTHING, one that had chased him across the desert for the entirety of his life and tugged at him like an old friend whenever he held his gun. he had learned after years of his own torture to RESIST that call. of all the things he had taught little genji, he had never been able to teach him this.

          the stench of DEATH wrapped around his throat like hellish hands, squeezing and choking harder with every passing moment. the blood dripped from the sword into the grass beneath, plotting rivers and lakes and islands and oceans, a MAP in the dirt wrought from the death of thousands. it was on jesse’s skin, clumped in his hair; it plastered his clothes to his skin like a thick, sticky layer of sweat. it was DISGUSTING. between the blood and the smell, the corpses, charred skin and flesh clogging his nostrils with every breath he took, his stomach lurched with the urge to VOMIT. he only barely managed to suppress it.

          he watched with horror as the barrel of his peacemaker raised, squeezed in a DEMON’S hand. jesse knew what came next, but his limbs would not move. it was as if invisible chains had risen from the ground, wrapping around his arms and legs so tight that he couldn’t possibly try to stop it. bang, genji taunted, and there was aught jesse could do but writhe and ROAR with unbridled rage; the smoke raked down his throat like a blade of its own design.

two shots rang out. the blood sprayed gently over his cheeks.

          finally, jesse could move ― he LURCHED forward to grab the gun out of his hand, his body creaking like an old tree as the wall of fire grew taller, the dragon grew bigger and bigger in the horizon, screams blowing out his ears with their INTENSITY ―

          with a choked cry, he sat up in bed. barely able to breathe, sweat glistening on his bare chest, his joggers sticking to his skin and his sheets soaked beneath him. the room was QUIET, but for him. there was no fire, there were no bodies or rivers of blood. the moon shone regal and beautiful in the sky beyond his window, the stars twinkling in their dark expanse. his chest heaved with a dry sob as he realized it was only a NIGHTMARE.

          he sat there for some time, weeping silently and struggling to reign the air back into his lungs. his ears RANG painfully, his head screamed with agony. it felt like ages before he could even bring himself to move; peeling the sheets back from his sweat-stricken skin, shuffling dejectedly to the door to his room without even bothering to change or put a shirt on, he silently entered the main portion of the house. in a SHAMEFUL ritual, he made his way to each room ― jesse cracked open every bedroom door, ensuring that EVERY child in the house was safe and asleep in their bed. he lingered beyond hanzo and mulan’s room to listen for the peaceful sounds of gentle snoring; he was soothed, somewhat, to hear them slumber.

          the last room he checked was genji’s. jesse paused by the door for several moments before he DARED to open it, fingers hesitating against the screen. he tugged it back and slid the door open, peeking his head in as if the room belonged to a sleeping dragon. genji slept on, peacefully, oblivious to the presence of his uncle in the room, almost angelic compared to the demon jesse had witnessed in his nightmare. unable to pry his eyes, jesse stared at his sleeping face for what felt like EONS. expression unreadable, merely waiting for something that was never coming, he stood there.

genji shifted in his sleep, and it pushed jesse from his trance. he closed the door without a sound and turned to go back to his own room, the bottle of WHISKEY under his bed calling his name.

It had been a good night. His mind is still buzzing from the soft affections that had been placed on him by Mulan. The touches and kisses as ever had been gentle and sweet enough. She had mattered more than anyone had in his life. She meant so much to him in the short time he had known her. He hated saying goodnight to her, to say goodbye. But he preferred that the elders kept their noises out of their relationship.      None the less getting back to the compound at this hour was something he hated doing. One of the few rare nights he had to leave her and not stay overnight, but his neck has a few marks from where she had kissed and bitten his skin. And none the less, he’s wary when he heads back. The threats towards him had been more rapid since the death of his father, and there had been a few attempts at times. None the less his dragons prickle under his skin, uneasy.      Careful. They warn.

A little guy the other demon calls a pervert/creep (biantai in Chinese, aka the characters for hentai in Japanese) and also full of murder, but still a little guy!!!

He was chasing this other demon down (who also has a nice design 👀) and when the other demon finally admitted some things…

Cross just moves on and tells him he wants to know if the demon can eat the leg he just dropped KDSGJSDJFSHAHA

Cross has depth: he can sweetly comfort you, deeply yearn for you for years even after you’ve forgotten him, be unhinged and yet also hinged, and is also horny as all hell 🤣

On the comforting part, it is genuinely sweet:

Eli: “You don’t have the right to decide what kind of person I am!” Cross: “Naturally. All I can do when a certain someone who’s too much of a try-hard goodie-two-shoes...is give them a hug.” Eli: “You—!” Cross: “I don’t think you were wrong.” Eli: “. . .” Cross: “No matter what you’re thinking in your head, I don’t think you did anything wrong.” Cross: No matter what you become, I’ll always…

ELI GIFTED HIM AN EARRING THAT HE CAN USE TO ALWAYS FIND/COME BACK TO ELI,,, Cross asked, “Aren’t we always together?” and Eli said sometimes they’ll still be apart 😭 BUT CROSS REMEMBERS WHEN HE TRIED TO COME BACK TO ELI VIA THE EARRING…:

Cross: “This how you use it…right?” Cross: Cross: “Eli?”

I am truly getting overly attached to this little demon who, upon realizing his memory of the past (?)—where his favourite person was gravely injured—is a nightmare…

He sighs in relief and hugs said favourite person despite them now being “not-as-nice” to him. 🥺🥺🥺

And ELI REALIZES HIS EARRING FELL OFF AND PUTS IT BACK ON HIM 🥺

They’re just so,,,, there’s so many layers to them and I’m so excited to see more of them!! Can’t wait for the next chapter. ;w;

Not that I need it of course, but it’s appreciated all the same.”, the prince scoffed playfully, handing his friend the gift. 

Inside the decorative box was an intricately detailed Arendellian dagger, with rosemaling etchings on the hilt, as well as a finely crafted leather pouch that could attach to any belt on even boot with the same rosemaling marking burned into the fabric. “You probably won’t, but I hope you like it.”, Vari teased, smirking at his own remark.
