yes i'm going to ramble about the royal au here so be prepared. originally i was like hmm, royal!buckley family, and that still stands, but i'm starting to consider like a whole merlin au?? if that sparks joy??

consider: buck as arthur, eddie as merlin. and then if i made maddie as a (platonic hello) version of gwen and had no morgana (because i love morgana) but replaced the concept with taylor. bobby as a semi gaius figure??? chim as lance??

okay, so it's not exactly a merlin au, but the concept still stands — eddie has magic and has to hide it from buck. also i'm not making buck die at the end, lol. but could you imagine the stakes!

how do you tie a decorative bow? cause apparently not like a shoelace

im gonna tag @mistmarauder cause you laugh but im dead serious.

okay so like the mechanics of bow tying are the same (when not doing the bunny ears shoe tie, DO NOT DO THIS ON GIFTS JUST NO)

it has more to do with the attention to detail when tying said bow, especially with double sided ribbon. you cant just tie a bow and leave it (fig. 1), you need to pay attention and manipulate the ribbon so that the right side is facing out and it goes straight across the box (fig. 2)

Fig.1 a regular shoelace tie; note the wrong sides of the ribbon facing outwards on one side, and the diagonal nature of the bow- not necessarily improper or not wanted at all, but there is a proper way to tie a diagonal bow.

Fig. 2 a bow tied with proper technique; note both sides have the right side facing out and the bow is aligned with the portion of the ribbon around the box.
