Hi, I looked up the Castiel project from your post and I think I found the page but I don't understand exactly what the money will be going into? Could you explain please?

The Castiel Project is just a specific fundraiser for The Trevor Project! 

The Trevor Project, if you’re not aware, is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people under 25. They have a hotline that queer youth can call, trained counselors you can text, workshops, and other community resources. 

The Castiel Project is a fundraiser for them on behalf of the character Castiel from Supernatural, who was a queer character who was treated like trash.

I’ve seen a few like this. I need to try that at some point. Those are a fun looking batch tho! I think I’d need to use fill molds rather than my half molds.

for the dice asks 6? (except resin maybe and if it's a gemstone which one?)

I’ve never been a fan of metal dice just because I use leather on the bottom of my dice trays when I make them and I don’t like it getting cut up, and if we’re shutting out resin since I make dice with it, I have to go gemstone because have you seen opalite or turquoise dice?

Is... Is the d4 functional? 👀 Is it possible to crochet other types of dice or would they just come out as little balls?

It depends on how you define functional.  I’m sure that if you rolled it 1000 times, you’d find that the numbers are not statistically close to even; it is not a fair die. But you can roll it, and it lands on some face or another, and you can read the number it represents. So it certainly works, and would serve in a pinch if you had no other way of playing polyhedral-dice-based games. The nice thing about polyhedra is that they have a pretty clear geometry.  If you take 4 equilateral triangles and sew them together, you can’t help but get a d4. If you take 20 of them, you can’t help but get a d20 (gonna try that next).  I don’t think they’ll make balls as long as you don’t over-stuff them.  I also sew the edges together with a little ridge on the outside, which helps define each face clearly and decreases tendency towards ball-ness. So I think it’ll work
