3. Tell us about a headcanon you invented for a fic.

I'm not certain I necessarily invented it for a fic, but in my generalised canon that I use for Dick in all of my fics, he was born in Bern, Switzerland and was baptised there! I have always imagined Haly's Circus as more European based rather than American based (despite the various accounts of Dick being in different states in the United States + Court of Owls b.s.), so to me, it makes more sense that Dick was also born somewhere in Europe. I think I chose Switzerland because I wanted a country that really had a mixture of different languages.

22. Do you have a fixed writing routine, or do you write when you have time? Is there a time of day when you prefer to write?

I wish I had a fixed writing routine! It feels like I have months of no words at all, and then one day I'll suddenly churn out like 2k-5k words, then I won't write again for like another year or two. I think it doesn't help that I mostly roleplay rather than write fic, so most of my creative energy goes to roleplay over fic writing pretty much every single time.

1. favorite fic you wrote this year

It's so hard to pick favorites. I am quite fond of Last, Lonely, and Wretched (Cass cat fic), but also I do really like what I did with Batgirl (2000) (giant drabble collection), and Janet Drake from HR is still just very fun to me.

2. least favorite fic you wrote this year

This one's even harder! I love all of my children. But if forced to choose I guess I'll go with the easy way out--Sisters, the Donna & Diana drabble I wrote after reading the Donna annual.

3. favorite line/scene you wrote this year

I do like this bit of Last, Lonely, and Wretched just because I am being so mean to Cass it in

She tries one afternoon: to just be the cat. It isn’t raining, but the sky is still grey. She lies on the couch. Huntress pets her while she reads. It’s nice. Until. Movement at the edge of her vision. She is up. She leaps. Huntress makes a startled noise. Flesh and fur is beneath her paws. Huntress laughs, leans closer. “You startled me,” she says. “But you’re a little huntress, aren’t you, Felicity? Good girl.” She is thinking again now. She wishes she wasn’t. Good girl, Deathstroke says. The needle slides into her arm— She drops the mouse. She runs.

14. a fic you didn’t expect to write

Discounting the fics that I wrote on a whim, I think this might also be Last, Lonely, and Wretched. I had previously completely outlined that fic and then decided I wasn't going to write it until I came back 6 months later and banged it out.
